Mysterious Ken player, ha. He knew how to zone, pressure, parry and combo- that’s all I’ll say. Most Ken players are only good at one or two of those four things and its usually just the typical SA3 combo. I know how to zone with Remy pretty well. So its pointless if you can combo very well if I outzone you and pressure you. Ooops I’ve said to much. Ha ha.
Today I played the same infamous Ibuki player who schooled me with some nasty combos. What was taking him so long to pull them out on me? Its pointless for Ibuki to play a zoning/poking game against Remy-- Remy has it better here. I think I scared him with my zoning so he couldn’t figure out a way to pressure me and start combos. He kept playing it safe (bad idea). Well, he finally learned how to break through some of my zoning and pressure tactics. That just meant I had to get unpredictable again. As we all know: predictability is death in 3S. Where does this leave me? I have to get more unpredictable and up the pressure. UP THE PRESSURE.
I also played a good Makoto player. He schooled me a couple of times. It was frustrating just because his strategy was simple stupid. It basically was pressure me, knock me down and then simple combo. But Makoto’s 3 hit combos hurt. And Remy is a little b-tch at taking damage. Maybe I got cocky and then I got sloppy and then I just made stupid mistakes trying to pressure him. Eh. Whatever!
Lastly, I played a Hugo player. He knew what he was doing. But it was not enough. Lol.
Why must you guys look down upon my simple tactics? =(

you know, after going over the student center’s room reservation schedule, it seems like Oct. 8th and 15th are tenative dates (meaning the building will be open until at least 8pm) for a possible saturday tournament, perhaps?

I haven’t been a Bearcade regular since spring of '03 so I’m probably not the whitey white white your talking about. I am ‘fair’ complected though. I also give off a bad ass aura. But I don’t wear glasses.
Tomorrow and Thursday I’ll probably will only be there from 6:30 to 7 p.m. though.

well, all you need to make it happen, aside from the date is people to run it and a butt-load of word-of-mouth to make it happen.
Remember we will need at least one person per event. I’m down with all games even DDR and Initial D, but there must be dedicated volunteers helping out. (example: everyone wants to do MVC2 and CVS2, that means that 3s doesn’t happen)

I think ramberk is white guy with short hair. I think I’ve seen him played bison in a2/3 before. Maybe I’m wrong. If he is the one with short hair, I played him few games before and he beat my ken. D:
AFAIK, I’m the only white guy that plays Bison in A2/A3 and Remy in 3S. I’m actually the white devil that haunts you in your dreams. I’m actually the only PERSON that uses those two lame ass characters period.
Boss Hogg. You have my 100% support for a 3S tourney on 10/08/05. Just set a time for the tourney and I’ll run that game. Send me a private message about details, specifics, etc. I’ll meet up with you. 3S is the only game I play in tournies so I won’t be distracted. I’m also not shy about yelling at people to get on the machine to start their match.
You have my support for that game. EVERYONE ELSE: Ya’ll need to step up and help out with CvS2 and MvC2 (plus any other games that are worthy of tourney play).
EDIT: Urinator (a Sac-town player) recently posted on the Bearcade thread pushing for a weekend tourney in Berkeley. Bihn said it wasn’t possible yet. Berkeley gets a lot of out of town players for their weekend tournies. I’m also willing to bet that SFSU actually has more regular players then Berkeley does. A tourney plus weeklies will definitely help keep the crowds in the RnC.
This is a very 3rd Strike-ish thread now. Cvs2 and mvc2 players (maybe t5 players also if they aren’t comfortable posting at tz.com) need to post more or introduce themselves and get something going. Let’s all try to get better at our respective games. I play and suck at cvs2 also but 3rd strike has been stealing my attention as of late.
