Damn those RC players. >> <<
Speculation has led my vendor to believe that a faulty power supply was the culprit with the MVC2 machine. It was replaced today. We’ll see if that did the trick.
KyoHiryu - Yeah, it’s that guy. That fatass THINKS he knows how to use Rugal, but all he relies is on c.lk lk super. He nods his head if you beat him like you’re some noob. I think all that cholesterol in his body went up to his head. Stupid K groove. Love it and hate it at the same time…
MvC2 isn’t fixed yet. Still have problems when 2 people are playing.
CvS2 is still taking quarters randomly:lame:
Yeh! Let’s all complain about scrubs. There’s this guy that keeps “jiggling” with Cammy, and abuses the roundhouse to hell. Oh wait, that’s me…:fury:
Whoa… I bet I could beat you, and I dont RC. But, note: I say “I dont RC”… not “I cant RC”.
Impulse you need to understand that I was venting when I wrote that post. And I know for a fact that guy I played can’t rc, but that is besides the point. You gotta understand that it completely pisses me off that I have the ability to beat good players but lose to a random blanka scrub. If you wanna play me that’s fine, I’m always up for a little friendly comp. You go to Davis right? I probably saw you at UB. And if we do play rc all you want it’s not that big a deal. If you knew the person that I was speaking of in that post you would truly understand the rage. Anyways let me know if you ever around, maybe we can play over at UCB.
Don’t want to start an argument but, if you lose to scrubs and random blanka supers then obviously you’re not doing something right. Just because you can RC and do combos doesn’t make you a better player, it just means you have better technique. Even though sometimes I can RC certain moves, I don’t really do it because I don’t need it to help me win.
people calling cvs2 players at state scrubs is like the pot calling the kettle black. brian and eric lee are the only people i’ve seen link a super from more than 2 hits. chidie can do neat custom combos occasionally…but other than that, the gameplay at state is wholly unimpressive.
My post was in conversation with Rushdown. I’ve seen very good players lose against a lucky blanka scrub. It just happens if you don;t watch dor the occasional toll super. These days no one really does that anymore towhen i does happen you forget to stop it with a throw or high priority poke. Plus the right side’s stick is not as good as te left sides stick. I get plenty of links off on the left side and I’m lucky if I even get a super off on the right side. Honestly at a certain level you need all the tools at your characters disposal and if you hesitate because you’re not sure your stuff is gonna come out, you’re not playing at your best level. I can honestly say I play mutch better at UCB than state because the sontrols there are substantially better. Honestly I have to link sagat’s supers or else they are not as effective as they should be. Sagar may be very top tier but he needs all his tools against blanka. One link into a super and blanka is barely still alive, but doing sagats links take skill, and blanka scrubs can sit on level three and do a simple super and make a come back. C blanka without rc is just annoying and is always played without skill. Every good playerknows blanka in c is almost useless without rc’s. you may ask, well then why do you lose to blanka scrubs my answers would simply be "luck factor. " Luck is a factor ina any game, that and I almost positive that no blankascrub would ever beat me at berkely. I beat people that are infinitely more skilled than the majority of the players at sfsu. I go to UCB to play and some of the average people there look like extremely skilled players in comparison to the comp at state. Honestly just take my post for what it is. There are too many factors that happen when I lose to a blanka scrub, and i boils down to the controls and luck. Might I add that it is not often but in fact rare that I lose to a blanka scub, it simply pisses me off when it happens.
I think what kyo is trying to say is -
“It pisses me off that these players who can roll and super and land it think they’re good when they don’t know anything about the game but basic things people used to do back in the day when they really haven’t seen anything yet and think they’ve seen REAL competition.”
I agree with Basic in a way, but people don’t really expect these old tactics to work, but I agree it’d be good to throw out once in a while, not every single time you get the chance.
CvS2 is a more scrubby game than MvC2 anyways. MvC2 takes more dexterity and somewhat more skill in a way. Now if only MvC2 were working again.
Whiffing an animation for a throw when trying to throw them out of a roll and then get hit by a level 3 is the worst…
/thinks of the 2 african american guys that 360 the stick in hopes for things and supers to come out
   african american? u mean niggas dont u?
and yes, cvs2 is more scrubby than mvc2. cvs2 also brings out the worse in people.
but once u really learn and know the game, its hard to stop playing.
yes, CCs and roll cancelling are becoming an addiction
So you guys got some comp at SF State or what? Is it worth the miles?
BTW Castro Valley GL is way weak now. They have a rent a cop watching the arcade…
lol… a rent-a-cop at cvgl. Well the comp has improved quite a bit at state ever since eriic lee started showing up once in a while, but if you’re bassed in cv like me, you might as well go play at UCB.
I don’t think I’m worth driving to play Cocoumi, but if you let me know when you want to go to SF State, I’ll let you know if I can show up. The competition isn’t that bad. Brian and Chidi dominate the competition…well, not really. Everyone gets scrubbed out now and then. Random guy with long pinky nail is annoying. I can OCV him a lot on the left side, but when I’m on the right, he scratches the shit out of me. He’s not that bad, though, kind of like a lucky turtle/scrub with nails. Dude who uses top tier C-Groove team isn’t bad at all. Apparently, though, he doesn’t know how to deal with players who aren’t total scrubs…or he likes walking into roll-canceled anything. They all run away from the infinite, though…boo… You guys need to get hit by that more often, it’s quite cool. I’ll try to increase the frequency of hitting with it…
Fear Kim!!! Haha! Not really. Hey, let me know when everyone’s back in school. I need to go up there again.
By the way, stay the hell away from an arcade with a rent a cop.
I’ve been going to Tilt in Fremont. Chech out the Newpark thread The compettion there is coo.l Riki and Misconception show up, so does Doc B and a few other cronies I hang out with on occasion.
When is UCB open to play? I work a 9-5 during the week. Are they open weekends? I know school is out for winter recess.
What about SF State? So how often is the arcade there open? What are the hours? I’m gonna have to try a weekend.
Rack-N-Cue will be back online Monday, Jan. 5th and throughout the winter break 10-6 monday through friday. Happy New Year!
It’s new year’s eve, and I’m bored out of mind. Someone remind me to get out of the house next year.
