This PSP is hot!

damn, i seen a couple of the modified psp, and they are freaking great. They even made the LED blinking lights that follows the music, etc.

they sure have a lot of time in their hands.

In terms of chipset and architecture PSP is more like a PS1 turbo. Remember all that ā€˜Emotion Engine’ crap when PS2 came out? All those complex operations and physics from PS2 games are too much to serve the PSP straight up. For PSP emulation, the buck stops at 32-bit era systems.

I guess it is just a pipe dream, then.

I finally got my battery today; I have the files for the magic stick, but all I need is a tutorial for getting it ready for mods and CFW. Has anyone found a particular FAQ helpful?

I got my battery today also where did u get the files for the magic stick?? I’m also looking for faqs or someone to walk me through this

APPARENTLY you haven’t had this done to your PSP. This is the SECOND time I’ve done this to my PSP, and it hasn’t let me down yet. It’s more than just a ā€œsticker,ā€ its an NES Sleeve (Do I have to tell you to google that?). Tell me, what other ā€œmultitude of problemsā€ is there with the fat d-pad OUTSIDE of it not being able to hit a diagonal proficiently?

Think before you make yourself look like an ass.

This tutorial is linked on the first page of this thread:

Anyone feel like helping me with my PSX to PSP problem?

PSX2PSP. I REALLY can’t tell you where to acquire the appropriate files, like the Hot Shots 2 EBOOT, cuz it’s been so long since I’ve converter anything from PSX to PSP. Now that I think about it, I think I was using some kind of trimmed down HSG2 EBOOT–I don’t remember it being that big, IIRC.

Thanks, I think I have PSX2PSP, I’m pretty sure I tried it with the HSG2 eboot, but I’ll try again. Anybody have any luck with a multidisc Popsloader?

Thanks for the link to the easy installer; I’m trying to follow the steps as accurately as possible, but they aren’t very clear some times:

First step is to format memory stick: very clear. Go to system settings, format memory stick.
Type the driv letter (drive letter…): also clear, but do I need to be connected via usb at this point?
After I choose which drive, it says insert new disk for drive and then continue: this catches me off gaurd.
I think I’ve made it fine at this point, then it asked me what of the four options I want ( I choose unbricker which also acts as 3.71MM3 CFW installer)
After the files install, I ge this message:
Target DRIVE is 1
Check partation sector
Cannot open device \.\PHYSICALDRIVE1
Can’t read partation sector

What the hell does that mean?

I haven’t done this in a while, but this is what I think may have happened. You may have specified an incorrect drive. Do you have a card reader or are you going to be connecting via USB? If you are connecting via USB, go ahead and connect and use whatever drive letter your computer is using for your PSP/memory stick. Also, make sure you aren’t using vista. The installer I used did not work on vista, but was fine on XP.

…ouch. I only have vista available…

I should also mention that I have three files appearing on my MS when I look at it in the games category:

Pandora Battery Creator
Despertar del Cementerio
and something that says Corrupopted Data

hmmm… since you already have a pandora, I think you may just be able to copy the files over? Try this. Don’t know if it works.

OK, so I put the files over; should I put my pandora in with the MS?

man when is something good coming out for psp again!!!

Very soon: God of War, FF7 Crisis Core, Patapon

Just finished Jeanne D’arc last night…It was fun in the beginning as it was somewhat challenging but towards the middle to the end it got to easy…The level up & transforming is too broken…Oh well it was still fun & i enjoyed the story…

I dont know what i should play next…
Sims 2: Castaway
Disagaea
Final Fantasy Tactics
or
(DS) FF12

Its great when you dont play for like a year & now i’m backlog with so much options…

Can anyone reccomend any more games? I currently have:

Daxter
Ratchet and Clank
FF Tactics
Jeanne D’Arc

I bought my PSP for the sole reason of God of War, so anything else until then is just a bonus for me.

dj max portable

So once I’ve put those files on my MS, do I insert the battery in first, or the MS? What should happen?
