Official PSVita/PSP chat thread

and Castlevania’s graphics are being re-done, so they are actually rather better than PS1

and you know the reason why an expansion is coming out for Portable OPs? Yes, it’s to add even more content to the “an online mode to be forgotten”

Has anyone played the Tomb Raider Anniversary game for PSP? I was a huge fan of parts 1 and 2 and I’ve been hearing decent things about the game so it has me kind of intereseted in it, but trying to find out if it’s worth the purchase.

Get it for the PS2 or PC. What’s wrong with you? Don’t you like four shoulder buttons and a right analog stick?! Other than that from reviews it sounds alright.

Yeah I don’t know what is up with dude’s comments. PS1 graphics? PS1 GRAPHICS?! Dude c’mon. You frontin like you own the game. And even though you don’t, it’s clear from grainy ass videos that these graphics look great. It may not be as good looking as Ultimate GnG but it’s gonna be close. Crack muh man, get off it.

Yes, everyone better buy this game day one like numba 6 said.

I never touched the online mode for Syphon (i heard people were of high levels and were beasting online so I steered clear). MGS:PO’s online mode is fun but the controls of the series take a bit of the skill out. If it MGS played like Syphon then we could talk. Damn Syphon Filter is so sweet.

Speaking of Syphon Filter Logan’s Shadow. What’s with the less than B+ scores? It’s the same damn game plus some. How does that not get a great score? Retards of the world.

I’ll get Coded Arms 2 for cheap one day but seriously, the game can’t be that great.

When you release the same game with nothing new it’s always going to get mediocre scores.

Same reason why Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin got average scores.

PSP SFilter play like SF1(fighting) or SF2(stealth missions) and how are the controls?

Have any of you guys played bomberman on psp yet? 5*'s

ok so FFT is going to be the first game I have bought for the PSP since the release of the system

I was wondering about disgaea though, is it going to be a complete remake or are they adding in any new characters or other goodies?

Also, not sure if this can be in here but on the emulation side what would be some recommendations for solid titles that actually run well on the psp? I have the 3.1 firmware with psone support if that helps anything.

ive been playing it and its pretty good

camera can get annoying at times and the framerate isnt always perfect, but its fun

Jeanne D’Arc is the best strategy RPG I have ever played. This game is addictive and godly. Get it guys.

FFT is coming soon…and with it, the inevitable comparisons to Jeanne D’Arc.

Now that I’m done with Phantom Hourglass, it’s back to Jeanne D’Arc. You know, I used to think Rufus was totally useless, but after a few level ups and skill stone adjustments, he’s a monster.

help my psp is having disc reading errors!(tried 5 different games and no luck!)

its been working fine now all of a sudden this happens! :crybaby:

Ew. Wish I could help you…that’s the first I’ve heard of something like that. I mean it was common on the PS2, but the PSP? Try cleaning the inside…maybe it’s just dirty?

ok i fixed it,just kept blowing into it like it was an nes and kept changing the games. :nunchuck:

Yeah, those are the only things I’ve been hearing about problems wise when it came to the game, but I guess I’ll be picking this up on Friday!

Its been a while for me but does anyone have links for firmware updates?

I’m still running 3.40A on mine. :I

go look at DA’s site. he has quite a few CFW there.

just got FFT, the slowdown is kind of annoying but its still the same great game otherwise.

same here. can’t wait to try out all of the new stuff!

Jeanne D’Arc would be the best if it had these things…

-Some sort of job system to customize characters, or a lot more skill stones
-A try on thing in the shop like FFT’s (buying things and then going out of the menu and then going back in over and over is annoying )
-Magic that was actually useful ( the only time you really need to use magic is against Dragons )
-Lots more weapons and armor to buy ( also you get to see the different on your character when you wear armor )
-The ability to skip the lil animation when you are binding skills
-lots more enemy types
-a good 20 more songs at least. Hearing the same one every battle is annoying.

Basically the game just needs more stuff, a lot more stuff. Voices, songs, weapons all that stuff.

Colet, Marcel, and Rufus are broken. Give Colet critical edge and two ( three or four ) hits and he will do insane damage. All his hits will be criticals.

Rufus is the best melee unit in the game. Once you get the plus 20 accuracy axe, it’s all over.

I’m very sad that FFT’s doesn’t have online multiplayer.

C’mon sony, enough with this Ad Hoc shit. It’s getting fucking annoying.

I’ll have to go out and get FFT’s tomorrow. ONION KNIGHT!!!

FF Tactics

[details=Spoiler]LOL Wiegraf called Ramza a ‘spoony bard’. I laughed for at least 5 minutes.
[/details]

The translation is really damn good, and I’m only on Fort Zeadaken. I wish I had a wireless router to play vs battles.

EDIT: It’s only ad hoc??? WTF. Can I get a PS3 version of the shit with online play PLEASE!! This makes no fucking sense.

On Jeanne D’Arc: I kinda find it…boring compared to FFT, but maybe I need to put more time in it than 3 hours…?

Just beat it last night to wrap it up before FFT. While the story and characters seemed shallow to me, I have to agree, it really is one of the best strategy RPGs out there. I really enjoy the battles because it feels like you can skimp on stats and still win through the use of strategy.

But onto the king, FFT. Game is fking godly on PSP already. But I have a question about the co-op and Melee mode. How difficult is it to go online and match up with a friend? I have a wireless router, but what all would I have to do? Never tried it before. I now have a Slim&Lite if that makes any difference.
