For those of you that upgraded to 3.71 m33: The 1.50 kernal patch is now available. Restore homebrew. go go go go go go go!!!
I had Cyclone 2 with Richard (@ level 60-something) doing 80 dmg each square taking him down about 1000 dmg each casting. Check, mate, match.
Not too fastā¦ the patch is only for Classic PSP, as Slm ones just wonāt accept 1.50ās kernel, and the installer will say that when trying to install on a Slim.
So what canāt a SlimPSP do homebrew wise compared to the Fatty?
Also, to mod the slim I would get a fatty, make a battery, put the Slim at 1.50, and then proceed to upgrade to a custom firmware from that? any limitations? sorry for being dumb!
No problem!
The correct process is:
- Get a modded fatty
- Make a Magic fat battery (important)/MS combo
- Flash the CF directly to the slim
The only thing is that the Slim never sees any traces of 1.50. It goes directly to 3.60 M33, but just having a modded fatty available is enough to do the trick. In fact, IIRC, now you can do it with a modded Slim, but you still need a fat battery.

Ive been playing Portable Ops. Fucking Null, this nigga wont die.
To stun: Run to him, and when close, roll. He will do his circling swipe, which will miss, turn around back, use the auto aim and fire tranquilizer. Wash, rinse, repeat.
To kill: Iāve heard that shotguns works like a charm on this guy.

If you donāt feel any need of changing it, then the classic PSP is always a great option :D.
And at 3.03, you can mod it with GTA, Lumines or Pandoraās Battery.
really? I never thought of playing like that before. I usually just fight him using the Sniper rifle. I just dodge his bullets as much as I can, then while he reloads, aim at his head and see if I can get two shots off him in one sequence
but then I realize there must be better ways than just fucking taking those bullets up to the ass and wait for him to reload
Which version of Null? For the first one, what I did was switch to a guy on the other side of the map and then use the tranq sniper rifle. For the second, and much easier one, I used Sokolov and hid behind a large metal container, making sure Null could spot me. As heād come around for me, Iād sneak up behind him and cap him in the head, and then run the other way.
EDIT: Both of those tactics were used for stun, but I guess you can adapt them for killing, if you wish.
Heh. For the second time around after I got him I just used the rocket launcher and grenades iirc. MGS PO was so easy though that I canāt even remember the single player that well.
Easy indeed; I fought all boss battles with just Snake, didnāt even know that I could change members when fighting them.

How much do new psp batteries cost, whereās the best place to get them, and has anyone yet noticed their battery not holding a charge for the same amout of time as when it was new? (I like to be prepared for these things before they happen)
