Gravity Rush is a definite buy for me but I have no idea when it for sure is actually coming out over here. I don’t really like Wipeout but that skinny guy talked it up a whole lot in that video above. I wasn’t planing on getting Stardust but after hearing him rave about it I just might.
I still have to figure out what kind of Vita package I’m going to get though.
Yeah, I started following his videos back at launch when I wanted to see what came in the box. He shows pretty much every demo, and bought most of the games. One game, I was interested that doesn’t have a U.S. release date is Lord Of The Apocalypse. He showed that one, and what he said that made me interested was Lord Of Arcana sucked, which it did. He said Lord Of Apocalypse, Square Enix fixed everything that was wrong with Arcana.

I will probably end up importing it down the road if we don’t get it over here.
I heard you can buy them, but you still can’t play them. I didn’t buy any of them, price higher than amazon. U.S. PS3s will not activate the game for use I read.
Gamestop is selling Sony published games already, but fuck them. I’m cool waiting on Amazon to ship mine next week. Also Gamestop is selling shit over MSRP, that is unheard of.
Sony screen protector
Gamestop-$13
Everybody else-$10
8GB memory card
Lamestop-$35
Everybody else-$30
That is ridiculous, I don’t shop their for other reasons, mainly being the shit be full priced, now it is over full price. LOL
I don’t like waiting in line while someone in front of me is bringing in all kinds of trade in crap, that is the main reason. Amazon, cheaper price and don’t even need to leave my pad.
The PSN store is working through the Vita. I bought Star Dust Delta. It only contains Sony games though, plus all the PSP games that are compatible.
It was odd seeing online passes for Vita games $10, the line has been drawn in the sand. All games going to have online passes unless the game is digital only.
The battery life is great, you are hearing stuff from people that don’t have a Vita or are being unrealistic.
Better battery life 3DS, and better than the smartphones when you are gaming on them.
It is not better than DS Lite, but it has higher spec’d parts.
On the Vita, I see my PS3 and Vita trophies on my profile, but on my PS3 it only shows the PS3 trophies. I hope they fix that. Only 2 out of the 7 PSP games I own are supported on the Vita. Persona 3 & Justice League Heroes. Sega’s stuff isn’t supported as of now. No Valkyria Chronicles, no Phantasy Star Portable 1 or 2.
Amazon is shipping Vita games now also, got the email my Wipeout & Hot Shots is shipped.
I still can’t decide whether to get a Vita on launch or not. Kinda hoping my girlfriend just surprises me with one since she’s been hinting at it. I really wanna play Uncharted.
I just pre ordered the vita for my significant other, purchasing the wifi version. The 3g model was tempting, but now-a-days it is all about 4g. Plus it seemed over priced for me anyway. I am excited for it though and I can’t wait for disgeae 3 to come out. Is the camera quality better then the 3ds?
The 3G system it’self isn’t over priced, the functionality of it makes it near worthless. You can’t download games on it or play multiplayer online, so why really have it?
Synch trophies and check friends list?
It’s only $50 more, even if it was $10 more it would be the same thing.
What I can see happening, if AT&T and Sony are smart, sell Vita severely discounted on contract.
$99 on 2-year contract, people would buy it even more. Make the barrier to entry lower.
And 3G is fast enough, AT&T’s 3G is faster than my DSL was and I played online for years. Played Phantasy Star Online on Dreamcast over 56k dialup just fine. Some games would not have as much problems as other, the problem is they are not allowing it period.
I’m immediately sold on Lord of Apocalypse thanks to that video. Of course, I’d bet money it WON’T get an official release here in the U.S., and I’ll have to import and look up translations online, and all that jazz…because most folks making decisions in this industry have the I.Q. of a turd.
On the latest Invisible Walls show/podcast… the guys mention not being that excited about actually buying a Vita right away, and I think it was Shane actually having the audacity to mention Mario Kart on 3DS… haha, you cannot be serious with that. At least for me, all other kart racers became pointless once Modnation Racers came out. Modnation stomps a mudhole in Mario Kart’s ass and walks it dry, as the great Stone Cold might say. However, it IS undeniable that the lack of online multiplayer is a serious strike against the new Modnation though… that one factor probably destroyed a lot of would-be sales immediately.
Mario Kart 3DS? Not saying it is a bad game, but come on. There has been a shit ton of Mario Kart games, how could you be excited for that. If you liked playing it, obviously you own one of the 7 versions.
Real Talk, I bought “My Japanese Coach” for DS, so I can try to teach my self the symbols for the menus of action games. $30 and has good reviews. I read on a totally different article, that if you learn the pronunciations you can be ahead of the curve. They showed the Japanese Kanji, then showed the sound and it was “Items” Kind of like Za Kingu obu Faitazu=The King of Fighters
If all else fails, I will use my android phone to translate the screen for me.
Not sure what you are referring to exactly, but Dreamcast had their own internet service called Seganet. They discontinued it, and transferred everybody to some other service near the end.
AT&T back then was small, and I don’t remember them having any connection with Sega. Cingular bought AT&T and changed their name to AT&T. I think NGage had a deal with somebody.
Just think how phones are done.
If you want a Galaxy S 2 without a contract, you are going to pay $500-$600.
If you sign a 2 year contract, it is $99-$200. The carrier is subsidizing the device, because they know they got you locked into that payment for 2-years. It’s stupid for Sony to lock the device to AT&T with no benefit to the consumer. At least the phones, they give you $400 off.
Xperia Play, that PSPgo styled phone is $500, but Verizon on contract it is free, AT&T it’s $30.
No reason why Vita couldn’t be free on 2-year $25 worthless data plan. Sony is dumb, that is why it isn’t happening at the moment.
Look at that stupid Sony Mylo, a wifi only communication device for $300. Idiots should have added a $5 GSM chip, so you could use the damn thing away from wifi.
Naw, that wouldn’t really makes sense. Internet was still in it’s infancy, and AT&T didn’t do 2 year contracts until after Cingular bought them. T-Mobile & AT&T only did 1-year deals back then which was great. Cingular & Verizon fucked that up for everybody, locking you up for 2-years and adding a fee on everything.
I was so pissed one time, when I re-upped with Cingular because they charged me $25 for not returning my OWN phone. I said fuck them, and went to AT&T.
It was when you signed a two year contract with SegaNet. They would either send you a Dreamcast or a check for $200. Are you sure SegaNet wasn’t basically backed by AT&T Worldnet? I know they were definitely affiliated at some point 'cause that’s how I got my free Dreamcast keyboard.
PS: It’s crazy how I once thought posting on SRK from my Dreamcast was so cool and now I’m posting this from my phone, heh.
