They said Little Big Planet for vita is bigger than lbp 1 and 2. I REALLY want that shit now.
Wait, what? I heard the 32gb and 16gb memory cards sold out.
Plus you’re not forced to use a bigger one, since you can store your Vita files on a PS3 or PC with Media Go.
I think the proprietary storage cards make sense to standardize the gameplay for everyone, but yes, they are too expensive. 32GB should cost $60, tops. Not because you can buy a no-name 64GB card with horrible R/W speeds at eBay for $20 (I hate when people pull that argument), but $100 for any video game accessory is just outrageous.
What are the read/write speeds on the proprietary Vita cards?
Got lots of questions for you bros and it’s fine if you want to just give me a link to all the answers (the official site in the first few posts doesnt even have the price:sweat: )
1a. If so, has there been any announcements for a discounted price for people who have an ATT account?
1b. Besides having an internet connection on the go, what else do 3G users get?
What fighting games are planned to be released? I have a 3DS and it feels like a REALLY stupid mistake. It’s a great handheld dont get me wrong, but SSFIV is ridiculous. Small buttons, small screen, etc. DOA Dimensions seems like it would be good on 3DS but I really dont want to keep a handheld that I wont use (still havent played it much and my sister has one).
What’s this about needing a memory card to play certain games?
Are there any GOOD video reviews of the PS Vita?
I’ll field the ones I’ve read about:
1: Last I heard, 3g is no-contract
1a: No mention
1b: A slightly heavier Vita.
2: Ultimate MAHVEL, baby!! And Blazblue Continuum Shift 2 Extend. But you KNOW Namco’s gonna bring some more goods (Think Tekken Tag 2), and SNK is interested as well. Street Fighter (4) X Tekken is also coming…not too hype for that, though. Looks shallow as hell. Combo into tag, wash rinse repeat. And the 3ds’s button and pad size: Well yeah, cuz N’s target demographic is the height and maturity-impaired segment of the population still dependent on parents for their every want and need.
3: I can see that…but I didn’t hear anything about it.
4: Everybody who has one and submitted a video on youtube seems pretty damn happy. I’d trust them rather than some casual gamers who are somehow working for places like IGN or EGM.
Then I will stick with vanilla 2. Yarr and yo-ho, mateys. Now, why the hell do I have a pistole that won’t fire?
3G model also has GPS. Some games will use it.
And Vita’s buttons are about the same size as 3DS. I dl’d a few SNK fighters off PSN and the controls respond well enough.
I don’t think those numbers were released. But the experience will be the same for everyone, especially when it comes to online play. Still too expensive though.
Yeah I just wanted to see if anyone had videos of like an actual in-depth review. Everyone says “It has this, that, and this…but let me show you some games instead of the actual handheld.”
Also, (highly unlikely) but will there be any PS3 DLed games it’ll be compatible with? For example, I have Plants vs Zombies and although it’s for the PS3, it seems like it could run on a PSP/Vita pretty easily. It’d be cool if it can although I already heard it doesnt play PS1 games as of now.
Did anyone mention about FFX possibly making it’s way to Vita?
It doesn’t work that way. It’s just very easy for developers to port PS3 game assets to Vita (by lowering the resolution). It’s not a ‘PS3 portable’ like a Sega Nomad.
Best video I can find atm http://www.theverge.com/2012/1/11/2700630/playstation-vita-3g-att-unit-13-hands-on-video
Tried the Wipeout 2048 demo. It’s Wipeout. It’s nice-looking. It’s… 30 fps
HD on PS3 is still the gameplay king (until Vita gets hacked and you can overclock like the PSP Wipeouts)
I got my hands on some Vita demos. Very nice looking, though I thought the analog sticks were too small.
Not that they don’t work real well.
The analog sticks have the rubber tip, but the grip isn’t as good as a PS controller imo. Night-and-day improvement from the PSP nub though.
I just took the plunge and ordered the Asian 3G Uncharted bundle.
$550
Unlocked 3G for whatever, maybe get the Ghetto unlimited 3G that I see on TV, AT&T is too expensive for what you get. I already got an unlimited smartphone on AT&T.
Uncharted Golden Abyss
4GB memory card
PS Vita Accessory pack-Leather Case, Game card case, Wrist strap, Cleaning cloth, & Screen protectors.
I don’t think I’m getting boned too bad.
What is the purpose of Sony+ possibly the carriers blocking multiplayer games over 3G. I read plenty times that people say 3G isn’t fast enough, but those people have no clue on what they are talking about.
DSL which is slow, is good enough to play MP games online. I did it for years with 3mps down 1mps up, I now have Cable Broadband which of course is helluva lot faster.
AT&T 3G is and was way faster than my DSL.
I routinely got 8 down and 1 up on my phone 3G test
I tested my DSL and was actually getting 2.7 down and .4 up.
AT&T 4G LTE is way faster than both, I get 22 down 11 up, even got 29mps down and 15mps up before.
I would like to know why they are blocking it, if it something you would pay for?
Companies are dumb sometimes.
it’s gonna feel awkward while riding the bus or on the street, oh hell at least it isn’t like an ipod
People are raising a shit storm about the price on Dungeon Alliance for PS Vita, and I actually agree with them.
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/01/23/ubisoft-ps-vita-week-dungeon-hunter-alliance-brings-an-epic-fantasy-journey/
It is basically the iOS game that is $5, or PS3 game that is $15, but for Vita they want $40.
It is basically the same as the PSN version, why the considerable price increase. I think I’m taking that off my to buy list on principle.
I’m getting on launch
Uncharted-coming with my bundle
UMVC3-Didn’t get the console version
Blazblue:CSE-Won’t buy the console version
Wipeout
Lumines
