Hmm… makes me lean more and more towards a 3000, because of the improved screen over 2000. But the free 16GB! arrgghhh!
Stu, any details about the ones you saw before? new/used, colors, bundles?

I think you got that wrong about the screen, I believe the PSP 2000 had a better screen than the 3000, and the PSPgo screen is better than both of them. PSP 3000 had interlacing problems and showed jaggies more than PSP 2000.
Shit, I like my go, I’m just saying it ain’t perfect. I’m about to order a 16GB m2 micro card to make it 32GB of gaming joy. I just put the Sega CD emulator on there(thanks to the heads up from Ronin Chaos) and got Snatcher working and will play it more tonight. I might even hook it up to my TV through the dock and kick back on the couch and use the Dual Shock instead.
My PSP 2000, I don’t use as much because I prefer the silence of the PSPgo without the UMD spinning. I know I can hack the 2000 to run off of memory stick too, but the Go is good enough to not bother with that.
Yeah, I know about the interlacing, but I don’t mind it, and the 3000 screen displays way nicer colors than the 2000.
I think after a couple days, you eyes wouldn’t notice the difference in color presentation, but you will always see the jaggies.
I just ordered a 16gb m2 card for my Go, $17 on amazon. Probably throw a bunch of my old games from my youth through emulators on there, because I filled up the 16GB internal pretty quick. I bought 6 games off of PSN, plus my UMD ISOs.
So I’ve been meaning to purchase a PSP Go for sometime now and found a bunch of them sitting around at my nearest Navy Exchange but I trying to find one where the OFW is low enough to install CFW for obvious reasons.
I’m assuming the ones with the Free Rockband DLC on the box is the “safest” one?
Ichipoo, just for the record, how much are they?
From what I know, the latest versions available are shipped with 6.35.
The Rockband versions are very old, so it will have a lower firmware. Mine was a Rockband version, but the put the slipcase for Socom, Ratchet, & Little Big Planet over it.
I have the 6.35Pro CFW, plus the Prometheus ISO loader.
IIRC, $149.99. Shoutouts to Military stores for not making pay tax. :lovin:
Do you remember the OFW your Go came with?
It was lower than 6.35, I know that.
When I first bought it, I had to update it to the current firmware to transfer anything to it that I bought off of PSN.
It was somewhere in the 5s I believe.
I got it November 2010
I’m sure most of them have old firmware. I upgraded the firmware twice since I got it due to games I bought, and PSPgo wasn’t hacked at that time. I found out about it being hacked and then I hacked it, and stopped updating it since I have a PSP2000 as well.
6.35 came out the end of November, I’m sure all the PSPgo in the store have an older firmware than that.
Hmm, still undecided, Stu, are you around here?
Is there a way to downgrade the PSP 3000 from 6.38
Anyways, I’m playing a lot of Persona 3 and Tactics.
Any recommendations for the Mini’s? Once the PSN stores comes back up.
6.38 downgrade I think not, as far as I can tell.
Minis, I haven’t bought any but A shooter for 2 bucks is good, I got it on PS+.
But can you still sign backups to use in 6.38?
I don’t know too much about that, but I would think not. What would be the purpose of downgrading the OFW, if the OFW can just play anything?
Just people being lazy/not smart enough to sigh their stuff.
I still have my launch PSP-1000, and I’ve been considering picking up a Go. Does the CFW on the Go allow for things like, say, RemoteJoy? I use RemoteJoy on my current PSP all the time since I have my PC hooked up to my HDTV along with drivers to use my PS3 controller.

So I guess it works on Go.

Man, i can’t wait til that “someday, maybe” when sony makes it so you can play psp titles on ps3. I will be all the fuck over SH Origins again. It was really the first Silent Hill game I could get into.
Definitely going that route soon, but I found a converter on ebay that might be better for me for 2 reasons.
