I’ve had a PSP Go for a decent bit of time now. Its pretty nice and its compact size makes the slim feel like a behemoth!
6.20 Pro-B5 can do everything m33-6 can also.
The Go’s D-pad is stiff and recessed though so it kinda sucks for fast, specific movements like in Alpha 3. However recently i devised a way to use one of those D-pad topper caps on it, attaching using velcro, so i can benefit from the more comfortable control yet be able to easily remove it and close the Go screen with no problems. So doing moves like Charlie’s super flashkick is much easier now.
The screen while being a half inch smaller, is of sharper quality than my 2k, and i like how its elevated above hand placement for more comfortable viewing. The “pause” game feature is essentially a savestate so thats cool too.
Though i have not tried it yet, being able to synch and use an external PS3 gamepad(bluetooth) for use is a nice feature also.
Fair point. I’m just against pirating video games in general. If you buy a system for the games it has, you should support the system and the companies by buying the games.
I torrent a lot of music (mainly really rare folk metal and japanese music) but if I find merch for said band I will buy the merch to support them.
Maybe. I’m going out tomorrow so I’ll check all the gaming stores nearby to see how much they’re going for these days.
The only reason I think they were going so cheap was because of holidays. They’re probably going for 90-110 now.
For some reason I’m against Pirating games, but I’ll Pirate TV shows. I figure it saves me the time finding who has that channel and telling them to record it for me and all that hassle. I’m getting U-Verse this Wednesday, so I’ll actually be pirating less shows.
If you buy and keep the UMD, I don’t call that pirating, even though legally it is. You could do it the hard way, which I chose not to.
Use a PSP with UMD drive, hack it, rip the UMD, put it on the PSPgo.
I chose to keep my PSP 2000 stock and just download the UMDs I bought. I did DL a couple I didn’t buy, but I was trying them out and they sucked, so I didn’t buy them.
What the fuck is wrong with Japanese game developers? They turned Aya into a worthless pile of tears in The 3rd Birthday. No matter how battle hardened a character was in the past, a woman will always be three seconds from breaking down unless they are reassured by a daddy figure over the radio. Fucking disgusting. It is just like Other M.
I won my White PSP Go on e-bay in new condition in box for about $135 total. And i’ve seen them new in box for about $150 or less.
Also a decent bit of e-bay auctions i viewed beforehand, had excellent condition Go’s ending for around $115(after shipping).
PSP Go’s aren’t tough to find at good prices. The main issue is finding one with low enough firmware, assuming you have CFW use in mind(6.37 and higher at this time cannot be downgraded for use with Pro-B5 cfw).
So it’s only until up to 6.35? Also, which fw are the retail Gos packing by default?
Besides, as I’m a bit far away, I have to be careful w/shipping choices. My best option is always having someone I know ship it to me, random sellers on ebay overcharge.
Probably every Go you buy will have a very old firmware, it’s not like they are selling like hotcakes. When I bought mine, it was the old packaging with a slipcase over it to make it look new. If you see one with a slipcase on it, you can bet it is an old firmware.
I’m scared that a Go would feel too weird, considering that it’s smaller, and I’d like to play MH on it, which uses mainly the analog, which is in a different position. Any opinions from owners? I’m still undecided, but the free space on the Go is also a big plus.
Go is very uncomfortable, but the trade off is the ultraportability. The edges are sharp and will dig into your hands.
My PSP 2000 is a lot more comfortable, and hands are less cramped.
Go is not better than PSP for straight playing, because it is very small, but you can get use to it.
I noticed that amazon stopped stocking/selling PSPgo, only their vendors have it and the price is over $200 for the Black one.
Like I have said many times, PSPgo is for somebody that already has a PSP and wants a smaller one to keep on them. It is an addition, not a replacement. It will also be a decent investment if you are planning on buying NGP, because all your games will carry over to the new system since it is backwards compatible.
