i want something that can play the first Killer Instinct (and no, i will not settle for the SNES version, LOL).
Some arcade games that i really want PSP-emu’ed are: Simpsons Arcade game, TMNT, 6-player X-men…you know, the good stuff.
Speaking of MAME, has anyone had success with this set of emulators? url=http://psp.nukenin.jp/HTM/index_MAME04.html
I hear they’re a little unstable, but my problem is I can’t find a compatibility list.
Question: If I buy a PSP game in the PS Store via my PS3, will it be stored on my PS3’s hard drive for remote play? Or will I have to put the game I purchased on my PSP’s memory stick?
I have interests in getting the PSP for the sole reason in getting Kingdom Hearts this september. But now I need to think about other games on the go so any suggestions?
Persona 3 Portable
Persona 3 Portable is fucking gold.
Jeanne D’arc was recommended to me as well
MGS Peace Walker
I would have thought that someone would have posted this info somewhere in this thread by now…but I guess not
God Eater Burst Announced
God Eater Burst Announced - PlayStation Portable News at IGN
If you don’t know what this game is then you should know it’s similiar to Monster Hunter…which means Japan was all over it when it came out. I think it actually topped the charts for a few weeks over there if I remember correctly. May want to keep an eye on it.
The only PSP games I played the hell out of were the Metal Gear Acid games and the Gradius/Salamander Collections.
Finally! So there are other people looking for a good MAME emulator!
I’ve only been able to get 64 and SNES working, go any recommendations for what to use for the other oldies?
We’ve all wanted a good mame emu, but have just accepted that one won’t be made for a loooong time, if ever.

Wow! That was nice of you.
Way to encourage my future contributions here.
I’ll cop to my iPhone 3GS basically taking my PSP’s place when it comes to portable gaming, but the emulators for it aren’t quite up to snuff yet. And playing with the touch screen controls isn’t bad as long as there aren’t a ton of buttons. NES and GBA emus are pretty good.
I haven’t touched my PSP in awhile but I walked past the PSP rack at GameStop the other day and saw a lot of pretty kick-ass titles up there like BlazBlue, Dante’s Inferno, Silent Hill Shattered Memories and SHADOW OF DARKNESS! Seriously, if you guys haven’t played Shadow of Darkness (it’s a port of an old PS2 game that was FANTASTIC!) you really oughtta give it the once over this time around.
well, it turns out that the motherboard on my star wars psp wasn’t messed up at all, but just a short in the d-pad connection(sensor, whatever). i found a step by step guide online for replacing the motherboard. i used the guide to break down my daxter psp, then switched that d-pad sensor with the messed up one from my star wars psp, and it was all systems go from there. one down, one to go…
btw, how’s the new socom? i’ve never played any of the games before.
I didn’t know NeoGeo Heroes was coming out for PSP:
I gotta figure out Prometheus before the end of the month…
any saturn?
More than likely there won’t be a playable Saturn emu ever.
I’m finding this a LOT better than P3. For reference, I absolutely hated P3.
This time though, controllable characters, and the writing for the new main seems to be a vast improvement (the writing that more or less was taken from the old game I still have a problem with though).
May I ask why? Is it because of the whole PSOne/SCEA matter that you can play PS1 on PSP?
Hardly, the problem is the Saturn’s architecture is so complex the PSP isn’t anywhere near powerful enough to handle it.
For that matter there are no Saturn emu’s that run anywhere near 100% because it’s such a pain in the ass to replicate the Saturn’s wonky innards.
