Has there been any mention of UMD capability for the Go? I would like to pick one up, but ther’s no point if I can’t play my UMDs.
Less than a month from launch, nothing concrete about Go and UMDs.
There IS a patched version of Soul Calibur floating around the net that’s playable on 5.00M33-6.

So, I got my pandora today, loaded up cfw and got a couple of psp games going.
But… Ive been trying all afternoon to get some ps1 games working, namely Policenauts. Whats the best and easiest way to get ps1 games going?
Yeah, the whole “We’ll figure something out about umds!” is pretty shaky at the moment.
I think they already said the PspGo will not support UMDs. But sony will continue to make UMD games for the psp3000. UMDs will still be around for atleast another few years.

I just installed my copy of Chrono Cross. I bought this game YEARS ago, and never got far at all. So this is almost like a new game to me.
I love having Custom Firmware. Looking at my old PSone collection, and just shaking my head. Why…oh why did I stop playing these great games.

I guess the Go is meant for newcomers who want an iPhone-like gadget (minus the integrated cellular access and touchscreen)? It’s definitely not for UMD owners, for now anyway.
The rumor about a PSP-4000 with UMD drive (and when was the last time a PSP hardware rumor didn’t turn out true?) sends even more mixed messages about the Go’s purpose.

I have no reason to go to the GO. It looks cool and all but I like my Silver PSP-2000. Plus, now that I have CTF on it it pretty much does what the GO does. At least for now.
What is CTF? I don’t think I’ve heard of it before.

I originally had a psp phat…then sold it and brough a psp slim…which i thought was good cause its lighter, brighter screen etc…now with the psp go, i don’t think i’ll be switching over, cause it has no UMD…i’ll give it sometime and see how it turns out.
