:woot: I got my Pandora battery in yesterday and did a CSF on my PSP.
I tried that Pandoraās Box, but for the life of me it did not work. Well it did work, but it never made a MMS. Which was very odd. I decided to get PSP Grader .8 and that worked very well. I decided to get 5.50 Gen-B for my firmware. So far I like it a lot.
I got UMDumper to rip the games I have, and PSP Compressor to compress them to CSO. I am very excited with this. I have about 5 games for my PSP, and I had carrying around the UMDs. I hope this works on Dissidia since that is my next buy.
I also had some old PSX games, and installed the lastest Popsloader for 5.50 Gen. Making a ISO now for an old game. If it works (which I am sure it will) I am very excited. I have about 100 old PSX games. Some are hard to find like Bust A Groove. So getting the chance to play them again is great.

The only bad thing, but it is not the firmwares fault is that SFA3 does not save on 8gb cards. Oh well, I just play it for arcade and stuff anyway.
Alpha 3 Max? Saves just fine on my sandisk 8GB.
I got problems with my PSP right now. My analog stick/nub is going out, as in it will randomly wig out and move my cursor randomly. Iāve even gone as far as completely opening up my analog stick, but to no avail. I believe the circuit board for it is going out. Anyone know of a site where I can replace a

Soā¦I bought Soul Calibur 4 for the PSP, becauseā¦I kind of have a responsibility to do it.
Anyway, the second I put in the UMD it told me that I have to update my firmware to version 5.55 or I couldnāt play the game. Anyway, I said fuck it and updated. Now I have to wait until a 5.55 hack is made, if ever.
Anyway, I wanted to give a little warning if you planned to get SC4 and I wanted to know if itās common for UMD games to require firmware updates before play and if it is unavoidable or if I was a dumbass for agreeing to it.
SC4 on the PSP is okay BTW. Not great, but okay.
Yeah, when games come out new, most of the time they require a higher OFW for them to run. What you shouldāve done was prepare a pandora battery with dual IPLs so that you couldāve went back to a CFW whenever you got tired of SC.
A lot of people are speculating that DAX may be around the corner when OFW 6.0 is released with the Go, so itāll probably be something like upgrade to 6.0, then flash to CFWā¦one can only hope. Iāll be doing the OFW/pandora route when Tekken 6 comes out in a couple of monthsā¦
I want to join the PSP crew but Iām waiting until the 3000s have been cracked for homebrew, itās impossible to find a new PSP-2000 around here and Iām picky when it comes to used consoles :crybaby:

Just go to gamestop and get a used 2000 model. Some are basically brand new that they slapped āusedā on when the 3000ās came out.

You shouldnāt be. The PSP, at least the 1000, is pretty darn easy to fix and replace parts by yourself.
My phat PSP was bought used on e-bay with bad pixels on the screen. It was simple & cheap to buy and replace the LCD screen, as well as many other modifications iāve made to the unit since i got it.
Iāve considered buying up some of those ābrokenā units going around e-bay for cheap, fixing them up like new + custom firmware, and then selling for $$$.
So if you dont have a big boy psp the next best option would be to get a psp-2000 series?
Really? I read older games like this and Darkstalkers had issues saving on the 8gb. I can save everything else on it fine. I put in the 1gb which is also a MMS and it saved. Pop in the 8gb MMS and it does not save.

Iām giving up on the belief of DAX making CFWs if nothing comes out at the Go launch. I heard his argument that not every official firmware is worth making a CFW out of, but the Go launch firmware is as major a release as any other. If heās just tired of the scene, he should just say it so we can move on.
Iāve been having the exact same problem. Itās not the analog nub that needs replacing. When the faceplate starts getting loose, the analog sensor starts going crazy. I tightened all the screws on the left side of the PSPā¦ that works for awhile, but the screws start to loosen and the analog gets unstableā¦ I have to tighten the screws down again. The permanent solution is probably buying a replacement back plate.
The popsloader does not work for me. Not sure what I am doing wrong. I have 5.50 Gen-B. It says it can run it, but it is a no go. I even go it to the point where the game shows, I start it, but then black screen.
I will give it another go later. I would like to play my old PSX games on the go. I never pop them in my PS2 anymore. Would be great to get it to work on the PSP.
EDIT: Ok fixed it. PowerISO is not good on making ISOs for my games. So I used UltraISO and it worked INSTANTLY!
All that headache just because a ISO program does not jive with the PSP. Oh well, I used Impaler Popstation as well. So now I am cooking! I even put some custom themes one. I like the Xbox 360 one. :lol:
Nah that wasnt it, Turns out my files had gotten corrupt somehow. The drivers I mean. I just uninstalled and reinstalled them then quickly put 2 gigs of porn clips on my psp. Oh jaysus. :lovin:
I got Soul Calibur BD for the PSP and itās great so far. Love the SC series and my 360 one is gone due to RROD so to be able to play it in some form is wonderful. Kratos is a well built character and I think Iām going to main him for awhile.
Doesāent this game lack a story mode? Thats kinda lame.
For my PSP, unless the faceplate is secured on tightly enough, itāll always register a constant ādownā direction on the stick.
Once i get everything tightened down enough after doing a modification, the problem goes away though.
