Official PSVita/PSP chat thread

Where did you download IRShell from? The IRShell site? Because if you didn’t that might be one reason. Erm, let me think…

Okay, think I made a typo back in my previous post. Here’s what your directories should look like, ms0:/ is the root of your memory stick…

ms0:/ > IRShell
ms0:/ > seplugins > irsautoboot.prx/vsh.txt (just to point these out)
ms0:/ > PSP > GAME > irshell2x3x

Inside the seplugins folder is a text file called vsh.txt, when you open this up it must have irsautoboot.prx written and saved on the first line (what this does is it tells the PSP to take this plugin into effect during the VSH (which is the PSP’s main menu. You also get game.txt and pops.txt which will have a similar name with other plugins which would tell the PSP to take the plugin into effect during either gameplay, or pops, PSX games). It might not be displayed in the menu because the text file might not be written properly, so it’s worth a try. If this doesn’t work then I honestly don’t know what’s wrong.

If you claim to be able to beat The Legendary Sannin without those special “pre-round” jutsus in Naruto, you’re most likely lying, and your father’s most likely a fag…just like people who say they beat Battletoads. It is taking all kinds of restraint for me to hold off from tossing the entire Psp out the window right now. This is some of the cheapest bullshit I’ve seen since your average MK cpu tactics.

rofl million.

Welcome me back to the homebrew spot, people.

3.90 M33-2 up in dis!!!

Got it, thanks!

such bullshit…the cpu characters WON’T get hit, because they just substitution jutsu all day long…and of course the Sannin will sub 100% of the time. You hit them when they allow you to hit them…and they always have some kind of bullshit upgrade for NO REASON like increased speed, attack, increased defense…all permanent upgrades…and of course they “just happen” to get the good items while you get bullshit(Smash Bros. Melee syndrome there), and this is on top of Heroes mode being set up like “Survival” modes in all other fighting games, where your health gradually gets knocked down stage after stage as you take more beatings. Win with just one character left on the team, well that’s pretty much Game Over, since the other 2 will only have about 1/3 energy to start with from that point on. Also, forget about hitting them with a goddamn special jutsu in any situation, as they will only get hit by that maybe once out of a billion attempts. They won’t be hit by thrown objects either, and they will teleport whenever they feel like it, from any distance, apparently regardless of the fact they didn’t have the teleport powerup. There’s no beating the cpu characters on this(or Insane which is even more ridiculous of course) with anything other than whatever pre-round jutsu cheapness you have.

In all this, Gaara is still awesome though, and fun to play with. I think I’ve actually passed the point of rage, and gone into the zone of “this is so ridiculous it has become hilarious.”

up to what firmware can a pandora’s battery downgrade? or is it every single one?

edit: nevermind, figured it out

I wonder just how ofter we’re getting screwed on content when we buy the american version of a lot of games…like Naruto (188mb US/532mb JP), for instance. I visit places where one can…“digitally acquire” psp games, and I wonder why games like the japanese Ghosts and Goblins (Goku Makaimura) weigh in at a hefty 699 mb, while the american version (Ultimate Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins) comes in at only 271mb…stages/characters/modes removed, perhaps?

Possibly compression…

I wonder what the hell is even the reason for the missing characters and stages? Is it just flat out laziness on someone’s part? …or typical america-hate? …or a mixture of both?

I’m still a little bitter about the whole Project Justice fiasco. The american version doesn’t have the custom character mode. An ENTIRE mode…GONE. That’s not just any mode there either, like survival or time attack…a custom character mode is a big deal to just leave out.(*in this case though, it seems more like laziness) Custom Character(not just stats, I remember you could create the look of the character as well, and assign moves or movesets) mode is something that can greatly extend the replay value of any game, regardless of genre.

We’ll see…I’m obtaining the japanese version of GnG right now, and later I’ll get a copy of Shin dbz2 (“Another Road” in us). I’ll see if they pulled a “Naruto” on us…again.

Who knows, it might be a bit of both, here’s hoping not…

It’s a day late but who gives a shit! Dark_Alex just released the Time Machine!

I’m gonna buy a second (bigger) battery soon and use my old one to Pandoraize. Can’t wait to join the fray.

I just found out my 7 dollar 2400 battery and cover are coming from…China. I think I’m screwed outta some chump change…

Yeah, could be fake… You’re best off buying OEM Phat batteries for Pandora perposes. Either that or a Datel battery. The cover should be fine though and it doesn’t mean they wont work as a normal battery.

wow awesome deal. is this a legit place? if so i’m gonna scoop one up.

Hope it doesn’t explode in your pocket like it happened to some guy a few weeks ago…

To the people who buys batteries to pandorize them, buying normal ones is better than the Datel one, because you can depandorize the battery after you use it to install CFW. And big batteries = 7/8 hours of gameplay in a PSP Slim.

In other news: I’m playing the Patapon US Demo. Fun game, though I believe my gf will enjoy it a lot more.

Gonna try Wipeout Pulse soon to see if it beats Wipeout Pure in quality.

Kane what cfw are you on? My gf is playing hte patapon demo and she said she had to upgade to 3.75 to play. I’m hoping to play the actual game you don’t have to upgrade cause i’m on 3.71 m33-4 right now. Usually I wouldn’t care about upgrading, but I’m playing ff9 on my popsloader and i’m afraid if I upgrade to 3.8 i’ll lose my game save
