Oh, now I remember about the non-existance of game150 in Slims. My mustake on that (I even have a Slim and forgot about that). Nah, don’t worry about the kernels. I mean, I have IRShell running in my slim without any problems. Just place the IRShell folder in your root, and the irshell2x3x in your GAME folder, so it ends up like this:
X:/IRSHELL
X:/PSP/GAME/irshell2x3x
You don’t actually need the plug-in, it’s just for direct access when you turn on the PSP.
I dont know if you know this because i didnt at first… but if you have SNES TYL ME (i think the name was), if you go and set the frame skip to auto, it makes a world of difference and everything runs super smoothly for me.
What are the risks of overclocking your psp? O_o
None at all. In fact, you’re not overclocking it. The machine is designed to run at 333 Mhz, but the XMB and most games by default downclock it to 222 to help saving some battery.
Can I use an SD Card in a PSP?
Theoretically speaking… yes, PSP can recognize SD cards and pretty much any another flash card out there, and they work on the system the same as MSDuos.
Practically speaking… unofficial multi-card adapters for the Phat were sold at import shops circa 2005, but they were uncomfortably bulky, and I can’t find any place that still sells them.
Hmmm…Irshell gives me a black screen after the psp logo. What the heck?
On the topic of upgrades, I’m running 3.40 OE-A right now. Should I bother upgrading to a new CFW?
3.52 M33 was the most solid CFW out of all of them.
3.52 doesn’t support multi disc games without CWcheat if I recall. I’m on 3.80 right now and haven’t had any problem, custom themes without having to go into the flash1 is nice too.

I have firmware 3.71… how would i go about upgrading to other firmwares that come out? anyone have a guide?
Naruto is still a lot of fun for me…“The Legendary Sannin” part of Heroes mode is a little ridiculous though. It’s like every cpu character has become God/Hokage-level powerful. It’s a struggle to even damage them one time.

Do you have 3.71 M33-4 installed? Or just regular 3.71 M33? Because the latter is no good AFAIR. There’s only three folders to transfer so as long as you have them in the right place I don’t see how there would be a problem. Did you turn the plugin on to enabled in recovery mode?
I have upgraded to m33-4. And the plug-in doesn’t show up in recovery mode’s plug-in menu, for some reason.
Ah well that will be your problem then. Go here http://www.dark-alex.org/ and go to 3.71 M33 and download M33-4. Put it in your game folder and run it. That will put you on the lastest and best version of 3.71 M33.
(Now in m33-4) I don’t know what’s going on…I put the se plugin folder in the root directory, but the plug-in folder in recovery menu is always empty. I tried this with multiple versions of irshell.
Once i have 3.71 m33… do i have to install in order to get to a higher firmware?
example: 3.71 m33 to m3.71 m33-2 -> m33-3 -> m33-4
or can i just go from 3.71 m33 to 3.71 m33-4?
go straight to 4
