Official PSVita/PSP chat thread

I’m playing it on 3.80 M33-5. You shouldn’t be worried about losing the save, you just have to use the pops from the same FW you’re using now to run it.

GNG Jp: You can choose between 2 different versions of the game…each with 3 difficulty levels that determine how many enemies, traps, and stage layout.

The first version feels like the sequel to Super Ghosts and Goblins: double-jump, with magic armor hold button to perform spell, etc. It’s fun as hell. The other version is what we got over here:

American version: you can only play the version where you need to find an item to double-jump, need vials to perform magic, and all kinds of other stuff thrown in JUST to make the game more difficult. Not fun.

I’m also seeing a weapon in the jp version that I haven’t seen in the us version. A thorn whip. I’ve played through 3 levels of the us version and never seen this item.

heh, I saw both packs at Walmart yesterday…the Star Wars Battlefront and the Daxter Pack, side by side…same price. I wonder who are the fools that pick the Battlefront PSP pack when the Daxter is clearly the superior choice? Even if you ignore the issue of the pack-in game(some may be more interested in the SW game than Daxter)…Daxter comes with a 1 gig memory stick and the Family Guy thing(*which I still haven’t watched, despite being a fan), and Battlefront Pack doesn’t have that. It’s like if the xbox 360 Core and Premium came out at the same price point…only a moron would still buy the Core.

*random stupid thing: an mp3 got corrupted a few days ago simply because I fast-forwarded it. I didn’t even mean to use fast-forward, but why should a normal feature fuck up the file? Whatever, just a minor annoyance, remedied by putting the song on there again later.

Has anyone played Twisted Metal Head On? TM2 was one of the first games that I ever got on PS1 and it would be awsome to play it again.

i’d take the Starwars pack over the daxter just because i want a white psp more than a silver one. did anyone else jump on that cris core deal?

wassup errrbuddy. i dont know if anyone posted this already, but staples got a 4GB mspd for 30 bux. imma go check in about an hour. ill confirm this when i get back.

nevermind… it was 40 in store. still kinda good. but wahtever…

If you want a white one, pure white imported one > american w/ the fugly Darth Vader on the back, IMHO. At least I did that.

you can get a replacement battery cover that is white if you don’t want vader. they are cheap as hell too. how much did yours cost?

…Dude? The thorn whip is such a regular item that I try to AVOID it. I don’t see how you haven’t ran into it yet. After three levels you should have seen all the weapons me thinks.

Thanks for explaining the difference in the Japanese update. That all sounds so cool.

People who play Wipeout. Pulse has been out for over a week now and I’m getting it tomorrow evening and playing till my PSP breaks or battery dies. I’m surprised no one is talking about it considering it’s delivering on all fronts.

anyone play the patapon demo yet? its awesome. cant wait till it drops next week.

Yeah, Patapon is pretty fucking good.

EDIT: Regarding UGnG, wait til you see the super-rare Laser Whip. It’s ownage.

MY 8 GIG SANDISK STICK DUO CAME IN TODAY

WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

now… waiting on my invishield :stuck_out_tongue:

any homebrew other than emus that people recommend?

YAY! I bricked my PSP!! Now I gotta wait to meet up with a local guy to PB it…again. =/

how?

so we could avoid it

IRShell, LightMP3, an anti-robbery homebrew that was recently released (don’t remember the name, but it sends an e-mail with the IP of the connections your PSP makes, so you can trace it), PSPTube, PMPPlayer.

It’s all good. I’m meeting up with the guy tomorrow. I had 3.90 M33-2 and wanted to downgrade to 3.52 M33-4 because it’s more stable, like no hard reset back to XMB when waking up the PSP from Sleep like experienced in 3.71 M33. I couldn’t (for the life of me) get ISOs to work either.

Anyway, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT DOWNGRADE TO 3.52 FROM 3.90 M33 THROUGH THE DOWNLOAD/EBOOT METHOD! YOU MUST PANDORIZE IT BACK TO 3.52 M33!!!

I learned that the hard way.

that’s why i don’t always upgrade custom firmware unless i need too. 3.52 m33 is fine.

^ co-signed. Soon as I meet that guy tomorrow, I’m telling him to go 3.52 M33. Like I’ve said before, there’s not been a more stable CFW for the PSP.

Ok, well, scratch that one.

Why is this shit 3rd page material?

Well, I’m off to meet the guy to unbrick my shizzle! ^^
