lately srk is sluggish as shit and the new ads are not helping.
why does these ads have to auto zoom and have sound?

[]create a shoryuken repository on beanstalk
[]set up the master branch to deploy to shoryuken.com
[]install git-flow on your local machine (easy install via homebrew) sudo brew install git-flow
[]checkout develop branch
[]put your local copy of shoryuken wherever you initialized your git repo (this may be unnecessary if you added it as a remote)
[]develop stuff LOCALLY, TEST STUFF, push to develop FREQUENTLY
[]once you’re CONFIDENT it works have other devs TEST everything
[]create a build and push to master using git flow.

Whenever my friend tries to make an account it says “New registrations are currently not being accepted.” Is this like… for real? Or is it just something going on with the site?
Registrations right now are only done through invites.
So how do I invite a friend? Or is that a mod only thing or sumshit?

You have to disable AdBlock and it works!
It’s when the ads cover up the bar so it moves the bar to the bottom.
I can’t login with Facebook. I always end up getting an error like this one.
I already tried different browsers and yet the problem remains. 
I have no clue if it truly was a cause of the strain on the servers but I went back and deleted a fuckton of bot events in the calendar and from now on, each event has to be approved by me as it gets sent through the queue. That way we should avoid having days with 212 events (200 of which are bot events).
Also, regarding invites for registration, it’s only a temporary fix.

Its not really a problem with the site but a small problem with staffing. When I posted my very first comment in the newbie forum, I was told not to post any advice since a newbie. In the same post I also stated that I am not new to the gaming scene but to the competition scene but getting advice from friends and from pro level players that I know I wanted also let some one else know some helpful info. But to just plain out hear not to share any opinions for being a newbie to your forums is a little hurtful and I wanted to let the admins know about this.
I didn’t ask you not to post advice in the newbie dojo because you are new at SRK. I asked you because–as you admit–you are new to the competitive community. Also, the advice that you posted thus far was frankly somewhat questionable. I try to keep the signal to noise ratio in the newbie dojo as under control as possible. It’s great that you’re taking an interest in the competitive community, but please take some time to not be new yourself before giving advice to other new players.
