Kingdra -Swift Swim
Politoed- Drizzle
Bouffalant-Sap Sipper
Quagsire-Unaware(I wish there was a better wall that could ignore stat boost, and fucking over anyone that tries to set up)
Nidoqueen(Thunder-Resistance and well rounded stats, able to run mixed attack sets)
Thunder/Grass Mow Rotom(Thunder and Grass resistance, perfect to put a stop to thunder and grass types, merks water types, weaknesses are not commonly used in move sets)
Nidoqueen is the only thing that can run a fire attack, I wonder do have enough coverage?
I think Mow Rotom will definitely do the job for Jellicent… at least I hope…
This is my UU Team (straight out of pokemonshowdown), I don’t really know the meta for UU very well, but my friend wanted to play it. Does it have any glaring weaknesses? I didn’t really run it through a check list, but I find that it has really good resistences.
Lilly Satou (Lilligant) @ Life Orb
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
Quiver Dance
Sleep Powder
Giga Drain
Hidden Power [Rock]
Shallots (Rotom-Heat) @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SAtk / 136 Spd
Modest Nature
Overheat
Will-O-Wisp
Thunderbolt
Pain Split
Linux (Empoleon) @ Leftovers
Trait: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
Also, Hone Claws Hustle Durant is really fun. 109 base speed be trollin. I wish they swapped its Def and Speed. 112 speed would have been amazingly useful.
^Although that level 1 Aron(Shell Bell)-Endeavor gimmick could beat this team, he’s not worth mentioning…
I think… somebody did try running an endeavor team against me…
Lucario would definitely give that team some trouble…
Dragonite with the multiscale ability(I usually equipped mine with Yache berry also, to guarantee one free dragon dance, and I always have extremespeed on deck to counter Pranksters)
Bulky Gyarados
Heatran!!! Out of everything listed, he is the biggest threat to your team…
EDIT: I plan on making a team based on the OKC Thunder…
Imma start naming Pokemon after the starting lineup…
Durant is going to have the same name as the pokemon though…
Westbrook is going to be a support pokemon but it’s going to be a subpar one… somewhere in the RU tier
Kendrick Perkins is going to be the big man, the wall(Gyarados I guess)
Serge Ibaka- reliable but doesn’t score many points, so by extension I need something reliable that doesn’t score the most damage(Eviolite Chansey… even though I’m not comfortable with a grown ass man being a Chansey)
Thabo- idk who I’m going to make him
James Harden- A heavy hitter that gets slept on…
A dark team for the competitive metagame? If so, then I think Umbre would serve better as a trapper. He has really good defenses and gives great team support with wishes.
Gengar looks fine. Shadow Ball provides more power than Psychic, though.
Evolite Murkrow looks ok.
Pain Split seems to better for Spiritomb than Rest off the dmg. This will turn him into more of an annoyer.
Weavile looks fine. Ice Punch has more power than Shard, but Shard’s priority is naturally welcomed.
Hydra looks fine. Fire Blast his more power than Flamethrower, which hits steels more harder than earthquake.
Natures? Conkeldurr wrecks this team. Even more if you burn him. I assume that’s why you have Psychic on Gengar. Watch out for TTar Pursuits. You can’t ko with HP fighting and even Focus Blast isn’t an OHKO. ScarfTar comes in for free and pursuits. Conkeldurr and tyranitar aren’t frequently on the same team, but there’s plenty of other pokemon to Pursuit Gengar.
I need to edit the first page with some of these scans., Belle’s glasses look pretty baller.
I really want to try the Drizzle Volcarona set, it looks pretty inventive and I think it would be fun surprising people on how well it could actually work.
Using my AR, I made a {Guts} Conkeldurr@Brave EVs 224 HP / 252 Atk / 32 SpD
Item: Flame Orb
Protect
Facade
Payback
Superpower
Thoughts: This is more of a Trick Room Conkeldurr. Since Mach Punch and Drain Punch just HAD to be breeding moves, I went for something like this. Protect the first turn to powerup Conkeldurr, then just reck havoc. Superpower is to dent anything it doesn’t resist, and the drop of power is somewhat ignored thanks to Guts. Next, you have a combination of Ghost/Normal moves. Facade gets boost thanks to the burn, and payback will dent ghost even if Conkeldurr goes first. I couldn’t fit Stone Edge in this set, because it’s coverage and accuracy didn’t fit into what I was trying to do.
Lol somebody submitted the Mixed Hydreigon set and it’s up. I was running the set like DAY 1 of Black/White before anybody thought it would work. I should of gotten credit for that one
Using AR, you should be able to assign the location of the pokemon as hatched in route and Day-Care Couple egg received or whatever. Is there not a Pokesav or something similar for this gen? That’s what I did in gen 4 with Pokesav for all of my competive pokemon that I made except for legendaries, obviously.
I’m pretty sure there is pokesav for this GEN by now, but I haven’t had time to really search for anything. I got AR for B/W about the time when it came out, and it recommended that I didn’t use hacked pokemon for breeding.
Fireblast is primarily for steel types. It still hits Jirachi, Skarmory, Ferrothorn, and Scizor harder than your other moves. You could drop it for something like substitute or a hidden power, but I don’t advise doing so.
So I was thinking about how lame most of the starter pokemon have been competitively despite there great BSTs. There’s plenty of pokemon that would kill to have a BST of 525+. A few starters have gotten/are getting useful DW abilities, but I feel that most of the starters got shafted. Speed Boost, Solar Power, Contrary, and Sheer Force make some of the other DW abilities the starter have seem so inferior.
As I was thinking of better abilities for each starter, one really stuck out to me: Sap Sipper Swampert. It would have been so amazing. Swampert would be a hard counter to so many pokemon if it had SS and an great check to many others. If it got a recovery move as well, I bet it’d be used as much as Scizor.
Black2 and White2 are about to drop (or already have) in Japan, and it looks like someone with an advanced copy is going through the game right now and we’ve got a look at the new Move Tutor moves:

Unfortunately, everybody’s favorite Charizard-ruining move is back, as well as Roost… Which means Gliscor, GLISCOR EVERYWHERE!! Still think Excadrill should be banned now, Smogon?
Gliscor is going to be so stupid now.
I’m thinking Poison Heal plus Roost, Toxic, EQ, and Protect for sand stall.
Skarmory walls it, but it’s also not killing it.
