So Im just starting the whole post E4 thing, and wtf is with the level jump of the pkmn/trainers you encounter? lol. Nevertheless this is easily my favorite Pokemon game next to G/S. Roaming through the Giant Chasm, I ran into a shiny Sneasel in the space right in front Kyurem before I could talk to it. My first shiny since G/S (talk about luck).
Ferrothorn raped a good bulk of the E4 for me the first run through. That thing is a beast and I definitely want him on my team once i put it together. Everything else was the work of Gurdurr and Samurott’s X-Scissor. I accidentally walked into the E4 again as I was buying pokeballs. Little did I know all their levels are +20 lol.
Anyway would anyone be willing to evolve my Gurdurr?
I’ve been hitting up some of those GTS servers people host to get some of the older pokemon into my game for free, probably going to set up one of my own so I can get some of the stuff into my game without needing an action replay. Sucks that when you connect to somebody elses you’re ending up with random ones so it’s a mixed bag. I got a ratatta with pokevirus on it so that’s good
Guru and Bious: Alright, I’ll try to breed another timid one then since I don’t have any spare timid/calm ones. We’ll probably have to trade next week though.
Dances with Ninjas: Weren’t you at the Dallas VGC? If so, PM me, maybe I can help you out or something.
Well everyone, I’ve FINALLY figured out how to hack Pokemon that pass Nintendo’s detection system! :bgrin: Here’s a battle video with Pokemon I hacked on Sunday. 15-61213-28818
Feedback on the video would be greatly appreciated. :china:
@ BullDancer - Go to the receptionist on the right at the top floor of a Pokemon Center and go to View/Upload battle videos. Then you can enter the number I posted.
Reshiram/Zekrom have a relatively high catch rate (for Legendary Pokemon), and because they MUST be caught to progress the storyline it’s no surprise that you were able to catch it with a Poke Ball.
So should I just use a regular ultraball and not my masterball? I’m saved right before there.
Fucking ghestis kicked my ass, my team has a REALLY bad weakness to fire, and his dark/dragon pokemon has fire and water attacks. I figure Im gonna use Meinfoo to jump kick his ass (like 1 level away from hi-jump kick ugh) and see what happens with his pokemon afterwards
played a few matches on the official Singles Ladder, mostly against japanese players. 6-3 so far
Pretty fun. the team-preview features makes 3v3 singles playable, with on-the-fly team building being vital. If it weren’t for the team-preview feature, 3v3 singles wouldn’t even be a game, it’d end up being decided by whos team counters whos before match begins
Jeez so it took me 3 tries to beat ghetsis last night. His hydregion is so fast it got the first hit and killed my Meinfoo (without being super effective) before I even got my kick off. I had to get lucky and survive one, then the jump kick handled him fine. Also sent a squirtle to the dreamworld.
I briefly checked whats to do after you beat it, it seems that I have to go around and fight the 7 sages now? Is there anything else I should know that changes post game? I havent checked out Black City yet
Oh no, I pieced that together around the time I found out you can still battle the Reshiram after accidentally KOing him. I just really like catching Pokemon in the regular ball. Don’t know why since I started the habit on this game only. It also doesn’t help that none of the characters from the show actually use a damn ultra ball to catch Pokemon.
So I’ve been slacking in the post game and just leveling up various pokemon in the daily battles in Big stadium and Small Court (in Nimbasa). I realize I had a full team of Level 70’s and decided to try my luck on the E4. I managed to run through them without too much trouble. With that out of the way I’m pretty confident I can walk through the rest of the post game .
Also, not that money is ever an issue, but you can really rack up cash. Been doing those dailies for a bit, and I have well over 1,000,000. I don’t even know what to do with it. I bought all the TMs I could find at stores (that I remembered anyway).
They used apricorns in the show for a while, I wonder why that theme got dropped so fast in the anime.
Well there’s some paths that open up for new legends that would of otherwise been unavailable until post game. Far as I know about Black City you can battle the same trainers there everyday I noticed. I know a lot of people probably didn’t get the Waterfall TM ingame needed to reach that forest shrine around BC, it’s worth checking out. You probably wanna do some LVing around with Lucky Egg held because the jump from ingame to post game LVs are ridiculously high.
Yeah, I need to buy Fire Blast and Blizzard TMs. I think they’re 60000 money a pop, right now I don’t have a lot of money and probably will have to do some E4R2 runs.
