no surprise there, Chicago would be dumb to let either one of those skilled players walk.
I think this means Patrick Sharp is gonna get traded, though…

PK Subban making 13% of the Canadiens total salary. LOLOLOL
Makes no sense. He’s fine as a player, but you don’t build around players like Subban.
Can’t really argue with an arbitrator.
Funny considering they were pushing for a 1 year contract. And now he’s making more than Toews and Kane.
What I don’t understand is Subban asked for 8.5 and the Habs gave him 9 anyway. So why go through all that crap?
I wouldn’t mind these big contracts if it wasn’t for the stupid salary cap.
Then you have big hockey market teams like Detroit who can just buy the cup. Even as a Wings fan, I know that happened in 2002. Dominick Hasek, Chris Chelios, Sergei Fedorov, Yzerman, and Brendan Shanahan all on one team? Shit, even when Detroit barely had the budget space to sign anyone else, players voluntarily took a pay cut to get Brett Hull.
So yeah just replace Steinbrenner with Mike Illitch and the same thing happened in hockey before the cap.
Blackhawks rape too stronk :puckcoffee:
So nice to see that Jimmy Howard is picking up right where he left off last season, by choking at the last minute in every game he plays where he doesn’t have a 2 goal cushion.
[details=Spoiler]
Seriously, what warranted a 6 year 30+mil deal for him?[/details]
After a slow start, Blackhawks stay not giving a fuck. Road games, green goaltenders, FUCK ALL mwahaha
Meanwhile the Leafs finally started to play hockey. It just took over a decade, and dozens of jerseys tossed on the ice.
Kings don’t give a shit about regular season wins or 1st place, just grind their way into one of the 8 seeds and go to work when the real season begins
Kings will just trade nothing to an idiot team like the Flyer’s for their top players, at the deadline, and clobber whoever is left, then go back to several decades of mediocrity.
So what’s the deal with these players getting down in the mumps?
More than likely from sharing water bottles, and then just being near each other in a game. Spitting, shouting, sweating, all near other guys who are infected.
An elaborate biological plan to keep the US from winning a medal in the Olympics ever again, regardless of the carrier’s nationality. #AlreadyMakingExcuses
Dallas Eakins gets fired. Might be good for him to get away from that train wreck.
How the fuck did Edmonton get all those good drafts, and they’re still absolute trash?
Most of their top draft picks are 23 and under so they’re still developing. It’s possible 2 or 3 of these guys could be busts, but i’ll wait a few years to make that judgement. I don’t follow the team much but I keep hearing they have nothing to show after the 1st round of the draft. So for the past 5 or so years, they get the high draft pick in the first round and do horrible in the rounds after.
You don’t develop for several years as a number one pick lol, especially when your team gets 3 number one picks in a row, and the players all play like shit. Nugent-Hopkins, Hall, and Yakupov. Dunno why they picked Yakupov in the first place (I would personally never take a non Canadian as a #1 pick, ever). Then you go back a couple years, and add Gagner and Eberle, and you SHOULD have a fucking all star dynasty, instead of dismal failure.
Meanwhile the Leafs are a bunch of bums, on a hotstreak currently. Took down the King’s last night, w00t.
@Odin wtf stand up for your garbage team
