So, what did you guys think of the draft? Some of the crazy trade rumours involving the leafs going for the first overall pick, were hilarious. JVR, Kadri, and our 8th pick for Florida’s first? LOLOLOL nope.
I’m happy we got Nylander. A proven centre who is arguably the most skilled player in the draft this year, following in the footsteps of Sundin and Salming.
I was really hoping when the King’s picked, Carter and Richards would have walked up and shown their cup rings to the Philly fans.
Only time will tell. He’s still only 17, so he has YEARS to go before he will see any NHL ice time. King’s and Leaf’s both going for Swede’s, after Sweden made it so far in the Olympics…intriguing…
Blackhawks get the son of the player really responsible for the Soviet Union’s collapse, Jack Ramsey, son of Mike. Knew Bollig was getting shipped for picks, a move needed prior to FA Tuesday.
Actually my first NHL Draft experience, crazy to me that teams draft high schoolers/S-Tier amatuers while they still commit/grow with college
Generally the NHL teams draft kids, then bulk them up with beastly training regimens. If you’re lucky, the first couple of drafts might see the NHL this year, but it’s doubtful.
Can’t blame em. We were right there this year. One insanely lucky, redirected goal in overtime away from another cup. I thought both were gonna beat NY. I would have laughed if we nabbed Kessler, but we just didn’t have the money. Anyways, go Hawks! Can’t wait for the season to start agajn
So as of late we picked up a couple of wingers who have never scored more than 10 goals a season, and a 37 year old who is recovering from a broken leg.
Leafs still have the same failing core, all we did is pretty much dump our bottom 6. Still have no #1 Centre or #1 D-Man, still have too many non Canadian one way players, still have no shot of the playoffs.
Everything the leafs have done with Phaneuf has been a fucking train wreck.
I’m not happy with Clarkson either but he hasn’t been given a full chance yet.
