Well at least someone realizes that Blake winning the dunk contest was sponsored by Kia… because no way in hell he should’ve made it to the finals…
- I mean seriously… Blake Griffin wasn’t doing any shit like that /butthurt…
EDIT: Youtube comments are occasionally funny… one of them niggas said that Ibaka should’ve replaced the Teddy Bear with a Subway sandwich for more Ad revenue…
Wow. After seeing that clip I don’t understand how he didn’t make it to the finals. Blake winning it is the biggest crock that I have seen in a while. Dude didn’t jump over a car; HE JUMPED OVER THE HOOD OF A CAR. Everybody was going crazy after the dunk contest saying, “Oh my god! Blake jumped a CAR!” and then when they show the clips its just him jumping over the damn hood. Its stupid.
Ibaka does the free throw dunk farther behind the line than anybody in dunk contest history and he gets jobbed because commissioner KIA wants Blake to win it all? What a joke.
As for Deron Williams: ESPN (I think Simmons) and other people on the radio were saying that Deron Williams has “Sloan’s blood on his hands”, hence the trade. This was the most under the radar thing that I have ever heard of; outside of the Colts leaving Baltimore…but even then there were cameras. This had no leaked info, no press, no nothing. I just got in my brothers car this morning and heard the news that he was gone. Crazy.
With all the trades and crazy insane salaries being dumped and being gained by teams all across the NBA, you can’t help but look at teams like Golden State and Oklahoma City as the most salary cap ready teams in the NBA. I say this because OKC has the youngest and most contracted team in the NBA while the Warriors have arguably (don’t want to research EVERY team in the NBA on this claim) the most cap space in the NBA. While all of the big name players in the NBA are clamoring to play together on their AAU teams, OKC fans should be ECSTATIC to have a superstar player like Durant who is humble, quiet, and above all a team player. The fact that he is a future MVP doesn’t hurt either. That team is young, they have talent, and they aren’t going ANYWHERE!
Warriors are just dumping cap space like its nobodies business (as if they won’t have enough, already) paving the way for when it comes time to sign a big time player (cough, Dwight, cough) and trade away Monta, still be under the cap, AND not have to pay any luxury tax for being over the cap!
You know a salary cap is coming. The players have too much power, the owners are going to get a lot of it back, and we’re going to have salary cap and luxury tax galore.
Honestly, the NBA doesn’t care what will happen because they’re going to making money off of the situation, regardless.
with melo and d-will going east it certainly makes things a mad scramble out west, d-will can possibly stay in the east if he caters to the knicks. But, I think they’d rather have chris paul.
If CP goes to Knicks next summer, the West is done point guard-wise. The East would have Rondo, Paul, Williams, Rose, then Wall and Jennings. Absolutely stacked at PG.
Next year’s All Star game is gonna be lulz. Who gets picked to be the PG of the East if CP3 heads here? Tony Parker and Aaron Brooks PGs for the West All Stars?
Nash playing for PHX. They have miracle water plus he has the most insane diet in the NBA from what I hear. Dude doesn’t even touch anything that can be potentially bad for his health.
Jkidd probably has a few more years left, plus he probably get the votes just becuase of his past. Like Duncan. Alridge is having a better year than Duncan, but Duncan still got in becuase of who he is. I think Jkidd can get that next year if Cp3 ships out east.
The real question is how many more all-stars does Yao Ming have left?
