I think that was a pretty good move by Utah. I mean, Deron didn’t want to even talk about a contract extension, so Utah sensed that he wanted out. Add the whole Sloan fiasco, and Utah knew it was time to unload Deron and get top value back for him.
Nets trading Favors and draft picks meant they’re focused on winning now. But a lineup of DWill, Morrow, Outlaw, Humphries and Lopez isn’t exactly a championship caliber team - hell, I’m not even sure if they can even make the playoffs this season. Just looking at the roster makes you understand why Deron isn’t happy being traded.
The West seriously looks weak now lol. I don’t care what the reports say, D-Will was gonna walk and Utah had to do something. I’d say Utah got the better deal of this.
No warning, a trade to the motherfucking Nets… Utah definitely wanted to fuck Deron over as much as legally possible. Watch some leaked internal medical report about Deron’s previously unknown health condition magically appear on Sportscenter tomorrow.
Also “Knicks are back” Slap in the face to Galinari, Felton, and the others. Played good but were just placeholders lol. They helped them alot get them viable for the playoffs.
But that how trading goes. It is just usually it isn’t that many core players which is alot different.
