These trades make no sense at all. They’re just being done to piss players off, especially point guards.
Bibby thought he was gonna be in the playoffs… he goes to Washington. Deron thought the same, he’s going to the Nets. Diddy thought he was going to establish a career as Blake’s enforcer, he goes to Cleveland. I mean seriously, what the fuck?
Look at it the other way. Hinrich thought he was gonna stink it up in Washington, now he’s with the crappy Hawks. Harris gets the chance to get injured in Utah. Mo Williams was close to committing suicide, now he’s gonna be throwing alley-oops to Griffin in a Kia.
Now the Clippers gets enough cap space to lure nobody.
Wasn’t bibby having a good year from 3? Clearly past is prime I can understand, but I don’t think Hinrick will be that much of an improvement. They were waay better off throwing everything not named JJ or Al Horford at the suns to gain Steve Nash.
I don’t understand that Baron trade either. Baron had many fallouts with sterling but seem to compliment griffin well, mo williams is a shoot first kind of guard.
he also could have just stayed with the worriors and at least made the playoffs every year.( the prob would have kept capt jack and barnes had he not left). In hindsight looking at the 76ers being playoff bound Elton made the right decision.
Good grief. Melo gets traded Monday night and all hell breaks loose. Random ass trades happening all over. I’m going to bed now and I can’t imagine what’s going to happen before the deadline.
Lol wtf I wake up, flip up my laptop screen and BOOMSHAKALAKA I get a nice picture of Baron’s man stache right in my grill. I have no idea what is going on in LA except Sterling is finally starting to do his thang aka screwing his team once again by trading B-Diddy, whose only job was to feed Griffin alley-oops and mentoring Bledsoe and has been doing them amazingly well, away for friggin Mo. Sterling was probably like “WE’RE GETTING NATIONALLY TELEVISED GAMES? OUR PLAYER WON THE DUNK CONTEST? CLIPPER NATION IS ACTUALLY HAPPY??? NO WE CANNOT HAVE THAT. SABOTAGE MODE TURN ON”
Hawks aren’t good and I don’t know why anyone outside a Hawks fan would call them average, they are sheer meaningless.
Hortford is a good kid but undersized, not as athletic as I thought, pretty much a push over but he can get you 15-8
J.Smith is the biggest piece, of steaming, stinking, overrated monkey crap i’ve ever seen.
He’s good at go behind defense (player runs past,go behind block the shit) his offense is all dunks and his jump shot is less then streaky,he’s a hot head who despite 4 years in the league or more, still acts like a turd.
M.Williams should have been gone when his stock was high and Dallas wanted him,wtd the hawks were thinking I don’t know but all the hype on this guys potential is bogus, I put him in my Lamar Odom category.
M.Bibby severely over the hill and despite being subpar from 3 point land this year, he was too slow on defense, jumper non-existent and this team doesn’t really move around so he couldn’t make shots for people (not his fault by the way)
K.Hinrich can take the jumper, making it is the issue. The Hawks have always wanted a true PG and…
They are still searching!!!
Passed on CP3, treated there superstar D.Wilikins like shit in his time so they deserve to be ass for at least this decade.
This team will be all jump shooting, Joe Johnson’s overrated ass will get them no where and the rest of the team is un-mentionable!!
Crawford was there shining light and now he’s gone
Holy shit, the Hawks gave up a first rounder for Kirk Hinrich? Ahahahahahahaha why???
Haha, Baron goes from feeding Blake Griffin alley oops all day in sunny LA to horrible, horrible Cleveland. That is hilarious, because Baron only just managed to motivate himself to play with the emergence of Blake. And now he is in Cleveland. Oh, silly Cleveland.
This is a great example of a lose-lose trade. I don’t see how anyone benefits from this. Maybe the Cavs, because they save like an extra $5 million a year on cap? What does that do for them though?
Cavs get the Clips 1st round pick which could be very high in a crappy draft, while the Clippers now has enough cap space to land CP3 or Deron. They wish.
People who do not think that was good trade for the Hawks are insane. Hinrich may not be an all star but he is certainly a pretty good PG/SG who can do alittle bit of everything. He will do very well in ATL as long as Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford and Marvin Williams quit bricking shots.
People are completely looking at the Davis trade the wrong way. They wanted to get rid of the contract yes but it was to free up Eric Bledsoe really. He will be starting over Mo Williams, that was all that trade was about.
IDK why this thread is bagging on Devin Harris, besides injury problems he is a very good PG. They got a very good PG, a cheap rookie PF who they can use as trade bait and 1st round draft picks for a guy who was not going to stay anyway.
Ummm did you not watch Kirk in Washington and Chicago??
Atlanta still has no identity on offense, they don’t push the ball (like people have said they should) they don’t have a legit half-court offense either, they chuck bad jump shots, gain so so rebounds, no consistency in attacking the basket, which makes the Hawks a low grade of what the Bulls were when it was Lou,Gordon,Kirk.
Joe is suppose to be the slasher and jump shooter within 16 feet (Lou) but he won’t do this consistently or against the top teams.
Jamal actually does drive but due to lanes being blocked by…block head Josh Smith or Hortford being pushed out of the paint alot, for some reason the chucks up shots thinking the athlete’s like Hortford,Joe,Smith would crash the boards and gain the garbage points (Gordon)
Kirk will just fall back into the same funk he did in Chicago, dribble, dribble, pass, oh he wont drive, fudge it I’ll shot it!!!
I’m not saying he’s completely bad but the Hawks need a PG that can put these players in spots they can penetrate or be a threat from spots on the floor, he is an upgrade from bibby but yet another shooter to clog up the already bad shooting sytem the Hawks have!!
Yeaaaa thank god I just read the trade officially wrong crawford lol
Yeah I did and when he played PG in Chicago he played well, it was when they tried to combo guard him he started to struggle. He has played pretty well in Washington this year considering his minutes have bounced all over the place. Hinrich is a vast improvement over what they had, to say other wise is insane.
