ronron is a dumb player that has burned bridges and no one wants to coach him. he’s already admitted he’s too dumb for the triangle. who wants a 31 year old player that maybe has 3-4 years left in him but is looking like he only has a few more months the way he’s playing now? and no, trading a good player for him to pay him off is not a realistic option, cuz whatever gm would even suggest that to their owner would probably be fired for being artest-dumb.
ron is untradeable, at least not in any scenario the lakers end up winning at. he would need to get his play up to snuff, but if his play was up to snuff, the lakers aren’t going to get a better deal for a sf than what they got from artest. so if he’s playing good, you can’t trade him because he’s giving you what you’re paying him for that you won’t get elsewhere. if he sucks, you can’t trade him because he sucks.
you just need to stop over reacting. ron isn’t the only problem the lakers have. and its not even that big of a problem. if i had a dime for everytime a lakers fan was crying about their team being shit as they waltz into the playoffs with a good chance to take it all…

I have never completely blamed Artest for all of the Lakers problems, If anybody is to blame for most of the Lakers problems it would have to start with Fisher, Pau and Phil.
With Fish getting torched every other night Pau not playing aggressive enough and Phil not recognizing obvious weakness. One day you get bitched at for being an overconfident Laker fan when you say nothings wrong the next you bring up a small problem then the Lebron Thread says your in panic mode please make up your minds.
Secondly in post #5896 I said Houston,Indiana,and Denver would never trade for Artest but I didn’t think I would have to list obvious reasons like the Brawl at the Palace or Daryl Morey ripping Artest, since 99% of SRK claims to be GDLK in everything.
The phrase was to emphasize that we have other pieces to include with Artest so if they did decide to trade for him they could take those pieces and Artest and either buy him out or trade him to a place that would use him.

I don’t think the lakers will trade Bynum because we put too much work into him. Yes, he is injury prone and that scares teams into making some sort of deals for him, not to mention the lakers have proven that they CANNOT win a championship without andrew bynum. How many legit centers are realistically in the league now? There aren’t many with the talents of say bynum, lopez, that kind of talent that can dish out a 15/8 consistently.
I think the whole artest situation is quite overblown, when we signed him we thought he could still produce offensively given his situation with the rockets. However, the way kobe commands the ball and gasol being the second option, it only makes sense that his offensive struggles would be apparent. Artest understands that defensively is where his presence is felt, as it should be. There aren’t many guys that can play the defense he does capable of shutting down other superstars, even at his age. Artest has denied his trade rumors about him wanting go, more or less the fact the he is just frustrated with losing (as any NBA player would be)
The lakers have been eyeing kirk hinrich for years. But getting him would mean that they basically admitted that signing veteran steve blake was a mistake.
Kirk Hinrich sucks. 
They have a winning record with Bynum in the lineup. The problem is not him, as team you must be committed on the defensive end of the floor and that’s where the lakers are having problems. There’s too many missed assignments and blown covers the lakers are just allowing to happen. Considering that Bynum is the last line of defense AND their best shot blocker I’d rather him be in the lineup than out of it. Gasol has proven many times that he cannot play the 5 without being fatigue.
maybe, but there’s no denying that he is something most teams can put to of use. He can defend, shoot the 3, things a lot teams can use right now (lakers being one of them) steve blake started to do this well but fell outta graces with the fans.

He’s just good to have, I’ve acknowledge that Kirk Hinirch isn’t the best thing since sliced bread. Over 40% for a guard is respectable, if only slightly. I’m no stats guru but I think he shoots about 38% from 3, I’ve seen worse. The bulls are doing fine without him because you cannot compare him with the talent that is Derrick Rose. Generally speaking, when Rose got there Hinrich didn’t see much time at the point anyway.
Looking at the Lakers, Steve Blake should be starting over Fisher. If it were Hinrich or Fisher, I would start Hinrich. I’m not hating on Fisher but he’s a situational defender and has been for years. Hinrich is known as a pesky defender, and I like pesky defenders over situational ones. Ones that are always in your face, causing turnovers and making things happen instead of relying on the referee.
