I thought the Lakers were obligated to start Derek since he been there for so long. I think even with Kirk, Fish will probably start.
Also don’t forget Kirk also likes to play hero, and I don’t think Kobe likes none of that. Granted no one else on the Wizards can play hero, but at the same time he shold give the ball to John Wall in crunch time. actually, i think the heat should trade mario chalmers for kevin durant. not saying durant wants to leave okc, but if one day he decides that he doesn’t like OKC all that much, it would make sense for everyone if that deal just happened.
The Lakers should trade Derek Fisher to New Orleans for Chris Paul. CP3 isn’t really happy in New Orleans, so the Hornets will probably buy him out and send him to the Lakers.

It’s my understanding that Fisher knows the triangle better than any other PG in the nba, that is why they are reluctant to bench/trade him. Plus, as if kobe would even entertain the thought of Fisher getting dealt. He literally begged Fisher to resign with lakers after entertaining offers from the heat. I’m not saying Kirk Hinrich would be much of an upgrade over fisher, but we all know Fisher is past his prime and has been getting absolutely destroyed by younger, quicker guards. When the time comes and the lakers need a big shot, Fish is the man. But, there’s no question the lakers would love a pure PG to further compliment jackson’s triangle. Until Steve Blake steps up from his slump, rumors about another guard will continue to swrill.

that’s not bad, but i was thinking the lakers would trade kobe to the celts for nate robinson. remember it was only a few years ago that kobe wasn’t happy with the lakers, so it would probably be good to move him. and since gasol probably won’t be happy with kobe moving, you might as well include him in on the trade for glen davis and the corpse of kwame brown. then the lakers will have cap space to pay off artest and start rebuilding.

I don’t know if I agree with this. I really think you could get more value trading Ron Artest and Odom’s stash of candy for the pre-AIDS version of Magic Johnson and DJ Jazzy Jeff from NBA Jam.
