I’m not saying Kobe is the best player in the league, but I do think Kobe is the most argued over player. Some people think he’s the best, others always find some different player to put over Kobe (Arenas, T-Mac, Wade, Lebron, etc). And because of that, I don’t think he needs to be taken down a few notches because there isn’t an established consensus as to where he’s “notched.”
… that’s why i hate these “hustle” players. always hurting ppl being stupid.
and what sucks is that donte green never even touched the ball and bowled monta over, and it counted as a steal.
shitty teams and their “hustle” = dangerous.
i’m glad the warriors put the screws to the kings. bill walton did nothing but talk shit for 2 hours about how shitty the warriors are. he also said that carmelo isn’t a franchise player, and is at his best when he’s the 4th option on the olympic team. fuck that guy, i lost even more respect for him tonight.
Melos a top 10, arguably top 5 (top 3 for me), how is he not a franchise player??
And id LOVE to hear what people outside of Philly think of Iggy. I feel like living in Philly, we have a diff view from people who dont get to watch him play every night.
It’s plenty of other players in the league with shitty egos, but kobe gets a bad rap for it.
Lebron is a prime example, you can even say Pierce,Wade, and Paul just to name a few. Shaq takes jabs at players all the time but he covers his up with comedy.
I just don’t get that ego knock when just about every great player in the history of the league has ego problems.
Including the “God of basketball” MJ but he’s labeled the ultimate competitor instead of asshole.
As for Melo Walton’s an idiot, I still don’t see how people can consider Bosh or Rondo in the top 10 but not Melo.
dude, that’s exactly what it felt like. its like that dude that’s talking all sorts of shit about you to other ppl while you’re still in the room, and just loud enough so that you can hear it.
that old piece of shit’s calling would be internet trolling, cept he does such an amazing job of it in real life.
Its actually funny Melo has been an allstar only 3 times out of 7 years and I think the first time, he only got in because somebody else got hurt.
Melo is an over-glorified scorer though. He gets 7-8 rebounds, maybe 2-3 assists, no defense… and that’s pretty much what to expect from his whole career. He has a Vince Carter mentality with a more skilled Glenn Robinson playing style.
I think he’s top 10 for the simple fact there’s only three small forwards worth talking about in the NBA right now. Granger is in limbo and Artest is a role playing bum.
