Official NBA IS BACK CKRAZY SEASON 3 FANTASY FUN LEAGUE CHAMPION NEVER FORGET!

Still don’t think Harris or Curry is a better pg than Felton. Felton’s really showing what he can do with a mobile big who can actually run a successful pick and roll in NY. And he’s better than both Harris and Curry defensively.

As for Wall, I would still put him in 8th. As in, if I was an NBA GM I’d take Wall over any pg in the league except the top 7. Dude has no ceiling. His athletic ability, his speed, his court vision, his defense, he’s got it all. It’s one thing to average a lot of points over a few games, you could just be on a hot shooting streak. But Wall plays defense. He breaks down opposing defenses, he makes the extra pass, and he can just plain outrun everyone on the floor. It’s much more telling than making a bunch of jumpers.

^_-;

after watching that knick game last night I can make case for felton, dude was sick. Probably not a top 10 but he still aight.

Yeah, Felton’s a good argument. Jennings isn’t.

And it’s still nine games. The list isn’t who you’d pick if you’re a GM looking forward. That wasn’t the point.

Woot my Hawks Won. Not that big of a deal but man we been on a slump lately.

Who this Felton guy? I gotta check him out.

Raymond Felton, long time PG of Charlotte, picked up this offseason by the Knicks.

Oh I just never really heard of him. Probably because of the team he played her.

I read this earlier and then saw this on the Onion’s front page - Shaw Shows He Can Still Dominate Around Basket of Fries

Last year they did a piece about Shaq being sidelined by a pulled pork sandwich. I hope Shaq never retires. And for the record that article blows the Oden one out of the water. I was LOL’ing the whole time. “Food court vision” definitely gets my vote for best line in the entire thing.

Man as a Kings fan , its sad when Id rather turn the game off and do something else cuz they suck that fucking bad and they are never on primetime.

Ive never considered rooting for another team but man its getting to that point , ive been paying attention to the Warriors more now * not that their much better * . And when I watch my Kings I dont root for them to win I just root they can not manage to fall behind 20 points and seem to be looking up how bad the stats were.

I dont even want to go to any of there games this year unless its to see the other team which is even more sad .

But real talk I love my Kings but they are just annoying now at losing , its been 8 years of this shit.

But your Kings are on TNT right now, and they’re only down by 13.

I know and I turned it off , not bad only losing by 18 though against the worst team in the NBA …

And I knew Miami would squeek into the playoffs this year but man at this rate they may be watching that shit from home , they should of just of goten Lebron and left Bosh alone , they could of used that money to build a better team IMO …

I dunno, the twolves have been an interesting watch as of late. The clippers may be the worst overall right now but they’re still fun to watch too at times.

Honestly, between the Wolves, Clippers, Warriors, Nets, Knicks, and Wiz, and Kings, the bad teams are sometimes more interesting to watch than the good teams.

what happened with blake tonight? heard there was a funny interview?

That’s sad to hear about Mayo ain’t no way he should coming off the bench in Memphis.

Is Jameer that bad that he wasn’t mentioned on anybody’s list at all even with some people bringing up 12-13 players?

The Knicks done pulled off a 5 game winning streak and could possibly extended it to 8 without anybody noticing it are Knicks Fans that scarce?

There is like some weird circle trading going on between me, kim and VS.

Not like it needs to be said but somebody write in Griff for the Slam Dunk Comp at ASW.

I still want Darko. And will still trade you west.

PS - Not for Darko straight up though.

NBA Top PG IMO

  1. D.Williams
  2. C.Paul
  3. S.Nash
  4. R.Rondo
  5. R.Westbrook
  6. T.Parker
  7. D.Rose
  8. J.Kidd
  9. S.Curry

-Chris Paul and Deron Williams are completely equal in court awareness and skill and speed and hops; Williams gets the edge because he is bigger , i.e. can post him up, less of a liability on D. DWill is just tougher.

-Steve Nash is a default top 3, his prowess over the game offensively shits on his defeciencies, its not even funny. A true quarter back of our generation, If you want to learn point guarding, watch steve nash.
He is not no.1 because those other guys have stepped their games up to a ridiculous level that you have to consider nash’s defeciencies when you compare them to him.

  • Rondo has stepped his game up really high but he still a product of a system and talent. Normally he wouldn’t be in this conversation but his continuos improvement has to be considered.
Even Before the blockbuster trade, he was already a great defender, kudos to him for finding room for improvement. Westbrook is equally improving but just with less established talent and greater responsibility and greater comp (i.e. easier to make mistakes) but u still got to put rondo higher. But they are close.

-Parker is too good at shooting at his sweet spots and does a clinic when it comes to pick&roll, he a small nigga though. Rose is too “anyhow” to move higher at the moment. J.Kidd’s shooting is too shitty that it undermines his other abilities for this list and Curry aint shown enough consistency/toughness for higher ratings.

The funny thing is that Kidd has reinvented himself as a dead-eye three point specialist since coming over to Dallas. That’s all he really does now.

He’s still the best rebounding point in the league…up until this season, where his stats have really fallen off. And he’s not the defensive force he once was, but he’s still good enough and big enough that Dallas (which is already pretty loaded on size already) can get away with stuff like constantly switching on like every screen, with Kidd rotating to SG/SFs without issue.

See, point guard discussions are always fun to have.

Two (huge) reasons Nash is better than Westbrook…

  1. Field goal percentage. Nash is an amazingly efficient scorer for a point guard, and is most probably the greatest jumpshooter in all NBA history. The guy makes over half his shots - that is like center territory, which is mind boggling considering as a NBA point guard you’re forced into all shorts of bad shots over the course of the game as the primary ball handler (ie. late shot clock situations).

Factor in that he is a highly efficient scorer shooting THREES, and it gets even more ridiculous. His eFG% this year is .532, which is actually a step below his regular averages of .550-.600. Westbrook’s shoots 42.9% from the floor and his eFG% is .437 - it’s a hundred points below Nash.

Being that amazingly efficient at scoring at the PG position is like Joe Mauer slugging 28 homers as a catcher. It’s impressive by NBA standards and it’s even more impressive at a position that doesn’t usually see high FG%. The only two guys right now scoring 20ish points and shooting 50%ish as PGs are Steve Nash and Tony Parker (I like that about Tony Parker as well).

  1. He makes the guys around him better. Which is a hilarious cliche and vague to say, but for Nash, goddamn it’s true. Look at all the guys he’s made careers for. Hakim Warrick is shooting a hundred points higher than he was last year. That’s partly from the system they play in, but also look at Nash’s AST% (the number of field goals a player assists while he’s on the floor) - they’re regularly around 45-50% and leading the league. So when he’s on the floor, he’s either scoring half the shots he takes or creating half the shots his team makes.

No one else is making their own shot in Phoenix - Nash is involved in creating pretty much 100% of their offense. To succeed as much as he does with that amount of responsibility day in and day out…I mean that’s pretty good. Him and Paul, and also Rose to an extent, are their entire team’s offense. Don’t anyone give me nonsense about Hedo handling the ball for Nash, that’s so garbage. Deron’s amazing, but plays in Sloan’s great machine so that’s why his AST% is regularly in the low 40’s and Paul’s and Nash’s are always like 50%.

To be honest, I constantly reorder Rose/Rondo/Westbrook around, generally depending on who had the most recent ridiculous game. In my mind though, they should be firmly in the second tier of guys, from #4-6, with Paul/Deron/Nash in #1-3.

Honestly if I had to pick for #6 it might be Rondo. No one’s ever seen him play on a team without Pierce/Garnett/Allen to free things up (if a legit post guy and a true jump shooting 2 would help Rose, imagine how he would do in Boston) and no one should be saying a point guard without a jumpshot or is a huge liability at the line should be in the top tier of guys in the league.

Everyone thought Collison would be great in Indiana with the up-tempo style, but he doesn’t actually handle the ball a lot there. The system requires a lot more passing and moving without the ball than other teams, and I don’t think it’s been a great fit for him so far.

I like Jennings a lot because I think he’s a plus defender and he’s a great rebounding guard…but when you consider that the Bucks are simultaneously the worst offensive team in the league and the best defensive team in the league…there are probably a lot of rebounds for everybody. But yeah, whatever. Admittedly I think I still rate Jennings based on perceived talent versus actual on-court success. Honestly once you get below like the top 7 or 8 it’s all the same to me anyway.

Felton I can never trust because guys like Chris Duhon and Toney Douglas looked like borderline All-Stars in D’Antoni’s system.

Harris is having a great year by shooting like 48%, but traditionally I’ve never really liked him as a great point guard. Point guards who score 20 on like 15-20 shots a game shooting in the low 40’s always seemed more like guys in the Arenas/Marbury drive and dish mold, and that’s not great as a point guard. I thought Parker would fall into the same category of guys, but his FG% is much (much) higher and his AST/TO ratio is pretty good.

This young mans list i totally agree with.

I really don’t understand the knock on Nash constantly in this thread, I understand he isn’t the new, young, hip PG on the scene but the man’s passing ability, coupled with his shooting is un matched.

I understand his defense is lackluster but having 2 out of 3 major skills a PG needs shouldn’t make him below the top#5 list.
He passes better then anyone on everyone’s current list…which is what a PG is suppose to do, he also spreads the court with his own scoring abilities, makes undeserving players look great, doesn’t ball hog and can be counted on in the clutch or to get teammates off!!

He might not be #1 but I’ll be damn if he’s below #3

I also glanced over a list with Lebron James on it…dat nikka’s handles are garbage, people thinking he has very good handles don’t know shit about basketball.
Lebron doesn’t utilize his height advantage in his game, something M.Johnson was gowdlike at doing.
It’s all about power for to the hoop for James.

Not only does he constantly travel but his court vision and passing are highly overrated.

EXAMPLE: When Lebron brings the ball up and sets up a play, he doesn’t ACTUALLY help move the ball, pass it around and setup teammates, he drives, throws up garbage and possibly tips it off or dumps it off to a near by Varejao etc, this is why in Miami the offense goes so stale when he is on the court, he has ONLY ONE STYLE OF PLAY…straight gun hoe to the basket, he is to streaky of a shooter, he needs to jack up multiple bricks in order to catch a flow.

The current Miami Heat, reminds me of the old school Boston Celtics, Antoine Walker,Paul Pierce, and random duke, kentucky scrubs.
Both Walker and Pierce jacked up 26 or more shots per game just to find a flow.

How did we get to the garbage Miami HEat…I don’t know im sorry
