Who? Kevin Martin? Lamb is a goddamned rookie. If anything they are stockpiling all of Houston’s picks.
95% of those picks go to forwards anyways…

OMG damn. Thank you for giving us the West trophy OKC.
That Lin/Harden backcourt is gonna be AMAZIN…gly average in the west.

Lol Rockets.
- This hurts OKC in the short term which helps the Lakers (since we’re only worrying really about this year and next year)
- OKC gets better long term because Jeremy Lamb is a good player. Martin expiring contracts allow them to play in Free agent market, they can use that Toronto pick to bag a nice young role player in the draft (mid teens pick)
I think both teams win.
This is great news! Harden gone, Stern to retire in 2014, & the Sonics got the arena deal going…Soon i can watch NBA again! Now Westbrook & Durant need to squabble a bit more this year!
Damn two first round picks (Mavericks and Raptors 2013) a second round pick a huge expiring in Kevin Martin, and Jeremy Lamb for Harden, Cole Aldrich, Lazar Hayward and Daequan Cook.
Really Daryl?
Eric Maynor is back, fuck James Harden.
Baller trade for OKC. Sam Presti is a fucking GM master.
A Staples WCF doesn’t sound that crazy anymore.
People cheering and booing at the same time!
Wow Thunder. Idk… short term we seem gimped, but long term has great upside. I don’t like giving up Daequan Cook, but I guess I’ll learn to deal. I was getting worried about the contract situation last season, and I knew one of our core guys was probably going to go, but I figured it would be after the season ended.
Houston is dumb for giving up those first round picks, though. That’s like the first rule of GM-ing-- never give up top picks unless it’s worth it. Harden is not worth that much…

I don’t know how I feel about the trade, but obviously Harden was going sooner or later.
Rockets got a lot. They have an actual 7 foot center now among other things.
wow at the trade. i was hoping they’d find away to keep him.
Morey trying to build the new Atlanta Hawks. James Harden is about to be Joe Johnson 2.0, what’s the over-under of Josh Smith going to the Rockets.
OKC actually got off well in this trade. Short term Kevin Martin will provide some good scoring, although I do not think he will like coming off the bench. Will be interesting to see if he starts over Thabo. They also got first round picks out of this deal.
Man that Harden keeper could turn into a really good fucking deal for 13 bucks now that he will be the main scoring option for Houston.
Maybe, but Harden was more of a PG than Brook is. OKC just has another chucker in KMart2, not even as good as Chuckbrook in that regard, and minus Harden’s defense. Annd this is all assuming KMart even stays healthy. OKC took a step backwards but the GM didn’t totally fuck the team over.
Martin will most likely come off the bench. Thabo will stay the starter just for his defense alone, the bad part of the trade for OKC is that they will lose Harden’s ability to create, Martin can’t do that.
I think the Mavs pick that they got is the one from the Odom trade, if so that pick is protected like hell. The Raptor pick might be the one that the Rockets will regret.
Unless those first round picks are top 5 lotto then i really wouldn’t worry about it…This isn’t the NFL.
Harden is a baller & is going to be future superstar…OKC should have just waited, this isn’t going to be good…I hope Durant will finally see the light & leave…Kevin Martin is a scorer but he gives up the same amount on defense…He’s like Durant without the long arms haha…
I understand why the Thunders did this but why do it now, why not later…
Lakers are definitely the favorites in the West now, I still thought OKC was because they could play the Gasol/Howard tandem the same way they did Gasol/Bynum. That took a big hit since they traded their best PG.
Honestly they might as well run Maynor at PG and Westbrick at SG, they will not though. For some reason OKC is dead set on proving Westbrook is a true PG.
Now Ibaka has to start taking those mid range jumpers he can make. For some reason he is just extremely reluctant to take them, like he is afraid Westbrick will put laxative in his food for daring to shoot before he can.
I’m gonna go ahead and purchase my ticket for the imminent Rockets-Knicks finals.
