Trading Rondo you say?

http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=8xbwljl

Why not?

Why exactly would Orlando want another center who is also a bad contract in Okafor, and why in the hell would the Celtics trade Pierce or Allen in order to get Gilbert Arenas?

lol, fuck you, man. that’s messed up.

Yooooooo…

Rondo for Rusell?

I mean, if the rumors are true that Durant and west aren’t meshing well, why not?

Can’t see the Cs trading Pierce.

As a fan, I’d love to see Rondo head to the Clippers. Too nasty. It’s rare that a rookie makes my Fav 5, but Griffin is just ridiculous.

Harden would have to pick up a lot of the scoring slack.

Since you brought it up, more Rondo shenanigans

top of what?

the magic want jsmooth

lol celtics nation on my facebook feed are on suicide watch.

Until the Magic give up the “chuck 3s and play D” mentality, it won’t matter who they sign. Atlanta exposed them boys hardbody. Let Dwight do whatever he wanted and shut down the 3-point line.

Just saw on ESPN, Nets want Dwight Howard.

Ready to offer Brook Lopez plus multiple 1st rounders.

Atlanta didn’t exposed anything. Truth is both the Magic and Hawks suck. It was a battle of who’s going to suck less. If you actually thought Atlanta, or Magic had a shot you either lived in Orlando, Atlanta or just damn delusional.

Yep. That ATL/ORL series was hideous.

The NBA season opener is about 26 days away. I am preparing my body.

anyone heard from donald lately? i’m saving him a spot in my league but he hasn’t accepted the invite. otherwise there’s 1 spot left.

No doubt, but the Magic were out coached plain and simple. I never said Atlanta had any shot even the Finals, but they shut Orlando down.

Sorry, Boston I guess CP3 doesn’t want to be surrounded by washed up former allstars.

Whats with all this Clipper talk? People most have forgot Donald Sterling is their owner.

Indeed, I did.

Hey Morph, I signed up in your league a couple months back but it’s not there anymore…??

Buckle Up For Free Agent-Palooza

NETS READYING OFFER FOR DWIGHT HOWARD
Marc Stein and Chad Ford of ESPN.com: The New Jersey Nets are prepared to offer a trade package featuring Brook Lopez and two future first-round picks to acquire Dwight Howard before the Orlando Magic center becomes a free agent in July 2012, according to sources close to the situation. Sources told ESPN.com this week that, to sweeten the proposal, New Jersey would likewise offer to take back the contract of Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu, who has three seasons left on his contract worth just under $35 million. Absorbing Turkoglu’s remaining salary would become financially feasible for the Nets after the expected release of swingman Travis Outlaw through the amnesty clause that will be included in the NBA’s new collective bargaining agreement and by including another smaller contract or two in the deal. No trade deadline for the 2011-12 season has been set in stone yet by the league office, but many team executives believe it will fall in March.”

"NENE WANTS OUT OF DENVER
Ken Berger of CBSSports.com: One of the surest bets of the soon-to-begin 2011 NBA free-agent period is that Nene wants out of Denver. Where he winds up, and how, will be among the most intriguing storylines when the floodgates open around Dec. 9. The Nuggets are operating under the firm belief that Nene will test the market as an unrestricted free agent, according to a person familiar with the team’s thinking. Six teams have registered interest, the source said: Golden State, New Jersey, Indiana, Miami, Dallas and Houston. Nene, the top unrestricted free agent on the market in the view of many team executives, will have a say over where he winds up — though not as much as free agents did under the previous system since free agents can no longer get max deals when leaving their teams via sign-and-trades. Nene, 29, has long coveted Miami and Dallas as landing spots, but would have to force his way to one of those teams via a sign-and-trade since both are well over the cap. And whereas LeBron James was able to get a max deal through a sign-and-trade when he went from Cleveland to Miami, Nene would have to settle for a four-year deal with 4.5 percent raises under the new system in such an arrangement."
The Amnesty Rule …

“But if we didn’t know any better, the amnesty provision in the NBA’s new labor proposal (and that’s all it remains at this point, until the untangling process is complete) would appear to be the most important piece of the pending collective bargaining agreement.
It seems strange that something that will be utilized by such a small number of teams would be the focus of everyone’s attention. Yet when you realize the names that could potentially be impacted by the rule — Brandon Roy, Rashard Lewis, Baron Davis, Richard Jefferson, Mehmet Okur, Gilbert Arenas and several others — the intense examination of how the rule works makes much more sense.”
