3 of my friends love the show, and have the hats of a certain character.
I gave it a honest shot, and just couldn’t do it.
Boy that’s…that’s something.
I watch the show myself, though admittedly life’s been busy so it’s not my biggest priority.
The show itself pretty much just reminds me of cartoons I used to watch as a kid, like on Cartoon Networks Friday night block (which makes some sense considering some of the PPG team is there, including one of the head members). The show itself is colorful, humorous, the characters have alot of personality and overall, it’s just fun to watch.
That said, I do think the vocal members of the fanbase. The ‘bronies’ if you will, might take it a bit too far. I feel like they feel a need to make everyone like the show, which it’s nice that you want to share what the show is about, but they get really into it. I mean like SERIOUS BUSINESS arguing about it. It’s because of these vocal portion of the fanbase is what I think turns alot of people who haven’t watched the show away from it further.
It’s kind of like final fantasy 7 really. It’s actually good game when it comes down to it. It’s just a good portion of the fanbase sucks.

My Little Pony obsession? Bronies? This is literally my first time hearing about any of this and this time, I dont even feel bad for not knowing what’s popular nowadays.
Also that picture in the first post is fucking hilarious. The guy in the suit on the right thinking he’s suave for going to a “Bronies Meetup” and then the ultra creepy guy on the left who looks like he’s trying to lure a 9 year old with that toy. Then there’s that chick who is at a meeting for Bronies (presumably male fans of Ponies?) and that dude wearing the blue hat, arm sleeves and what appears to be hotpants.
