Back to MLP. I looked at half of the Buck Apple (whatever) episode and I have to admit that they did tone down the goody goody cotton candy crap significantly. Obviously somebody decided (Lauren?) to take the show in a different direction and it has actually become watchable. It kind of reminds me of the old ‘Cartoon Cartoon’ humor, but not quite as edgy.
I was too tired to finish the episode, but so far it doesn’t grab me like Adventure Time.

Yeah, the pilot and the first three episodes are kinda lacking. It picks up mid-way into the 1st season. The second season is better IMO.

From what I’ve seen so far:
Unicorns- Psycho powers, magic and teleportation
Pegasus- Super sonic flight, cloud walking, weather manipulation
Ponies- umm…
“Bronies” are a plague, a cancer, a hinderance in the path of creating a decent society.
The word “man-child” describes them aptly, yet it cannot fully convey the horror and the disgust in regards to what is essentially a fetish for ponies and a child’s programme.
Clearly they, like those with a diaper fetish, wish to regress to a child-like state hence their obsession with a KIDS show.
They are literally one step away from becomming furries.
God help us all, may they perish and watch their sane friends desert them in droves.
The only reason I like to see this topic to stay open is to see the final results of those curios enough to watch the show and post result after this topic was made.
That seems like the case.
The regular ground non-ability ponies (Earth ponies) don’t have any special abilities, and depending on the origins of specific cities or lands they’ve discovered, by tradition other ponies are force the follow the hardship of reacting the ways of construction or how “things are done” without the use of magic and sometimes flying.
Basically, sometimes the ponies are force to solve a solution in there village by under going without any use of magically powers to give out some sort of self pity due to lack of any real abilities from the Earth ponies.
However, in the world of MLP, in the past, all 3 races (can we call it a race? I dunno) had like a lot of wars and stuff due to none of them getting along and shit.
Earth ponies being grounded had the ability to find food and materials the easiest, and was needed for the other ponies to survive.
Pegasus stayed in the clouds, but due to lack of any real resources, or food they had to visit the Earth ponies to continuing living. There only real resource was water, which was also obtained from the Earth itself as the water wouldn’t last too long in the clouds.
Unicorns could do magic shit that… helped… uhhhh… look they can do magic, okay!
When things didn’t go right with Earth ponies, shit went down with all 3 races and things didn’t turn out great in the end.
However, now they live in a time of peace and harmony and try to respect each other religions and abilities, and stuff.
Bottom line: Regular ponies are low tier, and everyone knows this.
It’s more like:
Ponies - Cool as fuck
Pegasi - Not quite as cool, can fly and shit to balance out
Unicorns - Even less cool, can do magic trixx to balance out
It’s pretty well-balanced.
