If anyone cares about cutting the wire, you can desolder the wire, and re-solder additional wires to the kitty, which is what I did (I used ethernet cable laying around).
Well, if so, it may lose the point of using kitty, which enables the dual modding without any soldering. Just in case anybody cares…

Yeah not sure what’s going on with toodles… he used to be super fast and answered all questions with gdlk quickness no matter how dumb they were. He’s been basically off of SRK for 2 weeks with the exception of maybe 2 posts. I hope he’s okay.

my stick just randomly died yesterday and when I plug it into xbox 360 or ps3 it does not get recognized by either console. It was working fine the day before and it has not been touched in between those times. What could have gone wrong? When I plug it into ps3 the top right and bottom left guide lights turn on and it just sort of blinks a bit. THe turbo light indicators still work on button press. When I plug it into the 360 the 1P light turns on but still it is not recognized (turbo light buton indicators work too). Any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
You can try re-flashing the firmware to see if that helps.

Just a quick note. I just finished a BB TE mod using the Kitty, and I had to plug in the 6-pin button cable into the outer connector for all the buttons to work. It will not work on the inner connector. I saw something similar mentioned in this thread. Steps 9H and 9I of the guide may need to be revised, even though looking at the traces it shouldn’t matter. Replugged into the inner one several times - R2/RT and L2/LT issues. It was a v 1.4 board with the new “screwless” screw mounts (vocabulary is lacking right now) for the USB signals.
I think you were looking for spring mounts, haha. But interesting, I see it wasn’t just me. Earlier on this page I made a longggg post about my RT/LT not working either (I also modded my BB TE stick w/ the same 1.4 board), but after changing the 6 pin to the outer connector, all my buttons worked too. Maybe this should be mentioned/changed in the guide
Toodles mentioned that in a previous post somewhere… but he mentioned it for the VS stick, not sure he said about the TE-S boards (same as BB)
ah, my bad. I must’ve missed it when I was power-skimming through all 40 pages lol. Well as long as the stick/mod works, that’s all that matters.

Got my Kitty 1.4 and the TE-S wires did the install BUT two things are not working. in 360 mode all buttons work but in ps3/kitty mode my LT is not working good is like getting stuck till you hit one that works. And the LED for RT/LT wont work in any mode. Got the 6 wire on the outside header and 5 in the inside header any help
Try moving them both to the outside headers first.
Same thing when you hit LT one time it gets stuck till you hit a working button
this is my problem except with RT, only on ps3, so what are you guys doing here to fix it? i’m fairly sure i got it all plugged in right but can double check. are you guys just swapping the cable positions from inside to outer edge side of the kitty to get it working? for just one of the cables or all of them? if you can please hook me up with a diagram, other than this one issue my kitty is godlike.
