Official 'Kitty' class boards thread

Looks like you’re not following the TE-S install guide. That board will need the TE-S harness and you should be following the TE-S install guide instead of the TE install guide. Check the first posts for links.

ok i didnt realize the blazblue stick was a TE-S thanks, I’ll be ordering the harness then.

Thanks

Okay. I just finished my install, and it seems as though I’m missing the smaller 5 pin ribbon cable. I was given an extra 6 pin, identical to the H, R, and V cables.

Anyone have any ideas what I should do?

Toodles,

i’m getting a sort of lag, could it a firmware issue? Should i update the firmware?

tanks

Really now? What controller did you have it wired up with in your testing to check for lag? Any information or pictures on your testing setup? Because that’d be a feat. Seriously, if there is anything faster than a TE Kitty, I’d like to know about it immediately.

Whatever you think youre feeling, it is doubtful a firmware update would help, but knock yourself out. It certainly can’t hurt anything.

Send me a PM with your zip code and paypal email address so I can dig the order up please.

Hey Toodles,

Just wanted to check if you could give me some guidance with my issue. My Kitty package was missing the small 5 pin ribbon. I have everything wired up except for that last piece. Any chance I could get the ribbon? I’ll be happy to send back the extra 6 pin ribbon.

Sent.

Hey guys, just installed a te kitty in my round 2 stick. Got to the testing stage and found Te kitty showing up and working as per the install instructions but when i move slider to RS and hold back/turbo nothing shows up in game controller pop out.
Any help would be really appreciated as ive got a tourny to attend on Saturday.

are you doing this while plugging in or after you already have it plugged in?
Either way, if nothing shows up you probably didn’t secure the outgoing usb from the kitty to the 360 board

Thanks for the reply, i was doing it while plugging in. But it turns out it was a problem with the pc i was trying it on. Tried a different pc and it now recognises the mad catz pcb. Works fine on my xbox but when checking stick function on pc on the game controller pop up only the buttons register, not the stick.

That is because you need to set the switch back to ‘DP’.

i’m not saying that TE Kitty doesnt work, or that there is something better…i know that it’s the best ! i’m just saying that something went wrong FOR ME, maybe in the installing process…

maybe the usb cable is not properly connected…

dont need to ‘test’…everyone who plays can feel it…unfortunately…

i will re-install and let you know…

is it plug and play for xbox360? or i’ll have to press guide button everytime …?

Plug and play

Thank you Vicko…sounds great.

Oh yeah, thanks man.

Really happy with the TE Kitty, great product Toodles.

I just finished installing a Kitty in my TE-S, and I have some questions.

  1. The ‘Game Controllers’ dialog shows 13 buttons for the Kitty, but I only have 11 (1-10 and 13). What are 11 and 12 for?
  2. As described in the installation guide, when I put my stick in Xbox 360 mode and turn on turbo, the corresponding LED’s on the turbo panel light up and then flash brighter when I press them again. However, when I use PS3 mode, there doesn’t seem to be any indication whatsoever when turbo is activated, even when pressing a button. Is this normal?
  3. What exactly does holding Start do when plugging the stick in? I saw it mentioned in the thread but not in the user’s guide.
  1. L3/R3 aka nothing
  2. Yup.
  3. Nothing.

Button 11 and Button 12 are the Analog Stick Clicks, L3 and R3.
They are needed for the Controller to be recognized as a PlayStation 3 Controller.

Toodles, i figured out that the lag i was feeling is in the joystick only…

maybe it’s the JLF cable’s fault
