Heh, that’s what Im working on right now, think I just figured it out. No drilling, either
Ill get a guide up as soon as I have it written. Now I gotta take it back apart and take photos every 5 seconds for the guide.
good stuff sir. As usual i will try to make a video overview guide like my other videos.
Just got my VS Stick. Toodles can you tell me what I need to put the Kitty in? TE-S harness? new firmware? that sort of thing
O____O
What do I need to get this baby hooked up to my Dreamcast/Saturn!!! I think I might cry if I could use this on those two…

Take a look towards the end of the installation guide where it describes installing an RJ45 jack in the case in the Back button hole. Do that. Then either grab some DC and Saturn extension cords or cords from dead pads, and crimp and RJ-45 end onto it as described in the Kitty User’s Guide (linked in first post). Or just by a premade RJ45->Dreamcast or RJ45->Saturn cord from any of the usual techs.
Madcatz Soul Calibur stick(TE Kitty and TE S harness)…In 360 mode all butons work…In PC/PS3 buttons 1 and 6 are always lit up in properties when checking it on a pc…Whats am I doing wrong?
Dunno.
Not even the maker of the product has an answer…Damn…Wish I’d of know it would not work for me…Could of save that 50+ and used it towards just buying a regular PS3 stick…
There’s not enough information there, especially if you took a look over the ribbon cables that deal with those buttons and compared it to installation guide. Or updated the firmware. Redid the button mapping. Took pictures. It’s probably an easy fix whatever it is, but I dont know what that fix is because there wasn’t enough information given.
I followed the guide step by step… Not once, not twice, but three times…Every time the same problem… buttons 1 and 6 are constantly lit like they are being pressed…this only happens in Ps3/pc mode… When in 360 mode the controller works perfect…Buttons one and six are fine…
Any other info needed?
It did not work correctly on the first try (buttons 1 and 6 lit in Pc/ps3 mode) so I even tried updating the firmware…updated fine…still the same problem…I unhooked everything, and proceeded to try rewire again… Same problem… Buttons 1 and 6 are lit in pc/ps3 mode…unhooked everything a third time…same problem…
My fingers are so raw rewiring it’s not funny…
Never remapped the buttons or anything… All I did was update the firmware after my first try and it still gave me the same problem…
Will Megadrive/Genesis support ever be added?
Let me also add that when I say buttons 1 and are lit; I am talking about when checking it on my windows PC…In the controller properties it has buttons 1 and 6 lit like they are being pressed…When checking it on my pc with the stick in 360 mode the button all work fine and none are lit…
Also for some odd reason, on the LEDs on the controller itself, the first light on the first row, and last light on the bottom row is constantly lit, no matter what mode im in…
Can you take a picture to show me where the two ribbons dealing with the buttons go?
My TE stick isn’t registering at all with my Xbox. In a panic, I hit this forum and discovered that I might have to update my firmware. At this point, all of the LEDs were currently working and I had played on the stick the night before with no issues. After updating the firmware, I find that my X and B buttons will not light up but will still register. (minor issue. See vid 1). More importantly, the stick still fails to register with my 360:
I’ve tested:

[]When completely removing the USB connection from the Xbox PCB to the Kitty terminal. Stick still performs well. (Kitty PCB only)
[]After reconnecting the Xbox PCB wires to the Kitty terminal, PS3/PC is fine. Xbox still inactive.
[*]Forced 360 mode fails. (Tested on both PC and Xbox)

Can you take a good picture of the wires going to the screw terminals? The one isnt very clear, but looks suspicious.
Ironically I forgot to upload that photo.
The ground wire is more secure than it looks and all 8 won’t slip out with a slight tug.

That looks good, thanks.
The next step would be to pull out the outgoing USB wires from the OUT section, and put them into the Xbox USB section, along with the wire that are already there. So both black wires in the G-Blk screw terminal in the Xbox section, both green wires in the D+ Grn screw termina in the Xbox section, etc.
What that’ll do is directly connect the Xbox USB wires to the outgoing USB cable directly, without any interference from the Kitty. Do that, and check it on your PC in the game controllers applet, and on the Xbox360.
This will help narrow down the problem between the Xbox-Kitty connection and the Kitty itself.
My Xbox 360 TE-S is working on PS3, but not on xbox 360. Any idea what I did wrong?
