Its not like it’s easy to mess up a VLX install. Make sure the USB cable, and the 5 pin cable between the VLX black box and the Kitty are in good and secure. After that, you may want to remove the Kitty and test the VLX for a while by itself; I can’t see anything on the Kitty that would cause what you describe; frankly, I think the most likely cause is the USB cord on the VLX, but the only way to show that would be to pull the Kitty out. Once the 360 has been detected and control handed over to the 360 board, the Kitty pretty much shuts down.
It showed up as an Xbox 360 controller when plugged in. Took your advice and uninstalled it, still having the same problem. 1+3 and 3+4 player lights will alternate followed by flashing and nothing on the 360. Unfortunately I installed the mod on a NIB stick without testing the stick first so I don’t even know if this was a problem beforehand.
Is this at all fixable?

I have no idea. You’d have to talk to Hori about it, hopefully replacing the black box.
Waiting for the wire harnesses to get made and shipped out. Im doing the install guide, just waiting on the parts to arrive.
This may be dumb, but would ya mind giving me the Dimensions of the Kitty Board? (L x W x H)
Maybe folding a box in those dimensions will help get a sense on how it can fit in an SE. I’m hellbent on this, dude!

Got my order in on LizardLick! After doing some ghetto math (measured the board in my stick, then applied a ruler to the image in the tutorials.) It can fit in the SE. Barely and if anything, some of the plastic can be shaved/cut inside to make some room. This’ll be some damn fun!!!

Hi toodles is it possible for you to add button presses for selecting system overiding auto select. I would liketo have a way to force ps2 mode to see if I can make a joypad converter work.
Use a PS1/2 system cable.
If I remember correctly there is a list of converters that work with the MC Cthulhu. The Kitty should have the same compatibility list.
The Converter list should be on the Cthulhu thread. Anyways what system you are trying to adapt too?

Quick Question, Toodles. I see in the instructions that for adding the Neutrik Jack that you take out the back button. I wonder, can we leave the back button in its place, drill a hole for the Jack and work it that way?

Placed the Order on Friday @ LizardLick, Got the Parts today, Started the mod @ around 7:30 PM and got the Kitty and Neutrik Jack in my SE and working fully by 9:30 - 10:00!
It’s possible to get the Kitty in the SE Sticks, the thing is you need to trim some plastic inside and unscrew the Mic Board to place the Kitty in!
Now the final step is to change the artwork on my Stick. Vinyl Dying may be possible if I can find a way to spray the dye w/o needing to take apart the whole stick!
If you have any pictures of how you arranged things on the inside, and the plastic spots you had to cut? Others have asked and it’d be cool to at least point them towards a picture of one way it could be done.
