Got my VLX yesterday. I now have 2 TEās, 1 VSHG and 1 VLX. The VLX is by far my favorite stick of the three. (Sorry VSHG)
Pros: The size and weight make it feel like your playing on a cab. This stick does not budge when playing no matter how furious your movements are. Beautiful stick! It is of a higher quality than I thought it would be by looking at pics. At this point, I would trade my 2 TEās and my VSHG for a second VLX. I got mine for $240 and if I see it again at that price, I will pick up another without hesitation. Now, if only I could mod it to be wireless (PS3) and still have all the functions on the daughter board.

emailed hori and got it squared away. they didnt update their site. my sticks got delays so in the hori system it was coming up as delivered. they sent me my tracking number. hope it comes soon
Does anyone know of a reliable way to get one shipped to the UK? I searched ebay but they only have PS3 ones and Iād like a 360 one.

Loving the VLX. Question thoughā¦ Why is the joystick slightly taller than the TE and Previous Horiās? Is this the same height as the Vewlix cabinets? Took me a good 20 min to adjust to the height. Undecided if it is better this way or not.
Iām still waiting to see how they will resolve the paint chip issue before I buy one.
Was this not explained as an isolated quality control issue? No one else has had this problem and if this was to happen to you, you could either send it back to Hori for an exchange, apply the powder paint properly yourself or get someone else to do it for you. This is by far the best arcade stick ever released in my opinion (not in price value, but performance, looks , weight, feel, etc). I loved my TE but I donāt think I can ever go back now. I am officially abandoning mad catz until they decide to release an actual upgrade to the original TE and not the dumped down TE-S.

To me personally, The paint chipping is a non issue. Atleast you can take some comfort in the fact that its steel and can be powder coated or painted to better than new. If youāre actually using this stick, itās bound to get scuffed and scratched anyway.
quick question, what buttons come in the vx sa? Iām assuming sanwa buttons and joystick?
All Sanwa parts just like the standard TAITO set-up. For both consoles.
Again, anyone know whatās up with the joystick being slightly higher?
