37000yen
Anyone know when the VLX is comin to the US?
Yes, but I canāt say officially. Hori will announce it a bit prior to E3.
wow thats high my VLX from SMJ auction was 31500 yen, then later on i found out i can order from hori site by using SMJ.
My ps3 VLX from hori was 30000 yen with free shipping. So to let ppl know who use SMJ site u can use them to order from outside the auction.
But the part that pissed me off later on was after 5 days i order PS3 VLX. There was seller selling PS3 vlx for 20000 yen buy it now and 2nd one for 25000 yen buy ot now too. Couldāve got the 20000 yen PS3 vlx with fees and shipping for 250 usd.
Awww Meus, youāre not making it hurt any less:(
Sorry man i know how hurt our wallets are plus got to pay another shipping price from japan to North America.
on top of 453$ ?
Can you say if it is planned to be identical to the original VLX, and/or in the same price range?
oh wow, you have a comic con and FF too.
youāre all about limited sticks <3
I just got my stick today. No duty or tax charged so Iām happy about that.
Itās a really nice, solid stick. Very impressive. If the US release happens around July or August Iāll try to pick up another stick for myself.
did anybody check out this comparison? itās in japanese it compres the rap vlx, the new TE āSā, and the hrap v check it out:
Hard to understand with google translator. It seems they think the TES is prettier but the v3sa has better controls due to the inclination at the wrist area. While the TE also has this inclination it is too far from the joystick to utilize. Perhaps for lap play the TES is preferred as the incline is of no use at the angle of lap play. Iām really getting curious if that incline does make any difference for anything. (fireball motions more comfortable?). Wish I could try a v3sa or premium to test it out since hori seems to be making a big fuss on their adverts about the perfect wrist incline that mimics a viewlix. .
Oh it also seems they mention the premium as a fancier version of the v3sa with a hefty arcade feel to it and the easiest version to mod.
Pmed Back
Yes get to pay another shipping price again.
The VLX is my first Hori stick and I gotta say the incline is very comfortable. It feels more natural to me. That was the first thing I noticed when I used it for the first time.
Yup got it at PAX. I actually introduced myself to you. Told you thanks for the TE. You were kinda scared and asked how I knew who you were. I told you I saw a pic on SRKā¦lol
ouch! mine were about 500 eachā¦ouch again!
One of my favorite parts also. I hate resting my wrists on the stick. So comfortable āhoveringā your hands above the controls. I really like the steel panel too. I hope youre enjoying it as much as I am!
Hereās a video of this bad boy I found on youtube recently for anyone that wants to see a moving visual. Itās an āunboxingā vid around 10 mins long.

Yup, I want to get another one for sure for the PS3. Iām very tempted to get a set for the 360 as well.
The only negative thing about this stick is the panel is a bit uneven. So the panel is secured to the base with three thumbscrews on the left. You loosen those screws so you can easily access the guts of the stick. The problem is that since there are no screws on the right-hand side, that doesnāt stay flush with the base. You donāt notice this at all while playing so Itās not a big deal to me. It also could just be a problem with my particular unit. But, like I said, I still plan on getting more because I do think this stick is worth it.
Hmm. No issues with mine.
It seems the author preferred the slant/palm area of the VLX/V3-SA over the Mad Catz TE āSā extended palm rest area.
Also I donāt get how the TE āSā and V3-SA got a āDRAWā when it came to modding the stick. The TE āSā is by far the most customizable stick on the retail market in terms of aethetics AND mechanical modifications. They even picture the LS-32-01 being put into the TE"S"! You canāt even put one of those easily into the V3-SA! LOL.
Nice pictures and comparison⦠I guess.
