The VLX is a limited and premium item. There is no competition.

I donā€™t think itā€™s out of the question.
I imagine the only reason the VLX is so expensive is because itā€™s produced in limited numbers.
The better designed internals and increased size + modding flexibility of the case (over the V3/X SA) doesnā€™t warrant the 2x price hike.
Hori/Madcatz only incur the cost of developing a new case once before it can be mass produced like any other stick they make.
In reality it ought to only be the extra materials that bump up the price.
And in some ways, the TE stick is still better with itā€™s lock feature (VLX doesnā€™t have this right?)

Hori has to pay license fee to Taito for using the Vewlix panel, this bumps the price up a bit.

My VLX shipped from aki today. My other from J-goods shipped yesterday. Shipping was more from J-goods. They charged me for 9 kilos and aki charged for 7.
