Grandmaster Flash will also be a playable character, contributing his own remixes as well. There’s a Kotaku link with pics, but you know…there’s pics of him on the aforementioned link as well.
Now I gotta get this as well as Tekken 6 on the same damn day. Hopefully I’ll have enough friends who will treat these as my birthday gifts (the next day) cuz I’m gonna be broke as fuck…some more. MY FIGHT MONEEEEEEEY
You know, at first I thought this was another Beatmania Rehash, since lolGuitarHero. But looking at it, I could be wrong. Might pick it up for the PS2 since I don’t own a Tripple or a 360.
I’d like to inform you and others out there, DJ Hero is NOT a Beatmania clone. Game is very different from it and that is a very good thing. Only thing is has ties to with Guitar Hero is the “Hero” brand. Neversoft has nothing to do with this game.
after experiencing this game a lot, I will say I’m impressed with it. it’s fresh, different and given the chance you’ll like it (especially if ya’ll are burned out from rock band and guitar hero)
The game feels marketed more toward the top 40/hipster DJ/Rock Band crowd than it is towards Hip Hop/EDM DJs. Where are my “white label” artists and “promo pool” songs?
It could be a ploy to get a lot of people interested in the game by having a lot of top40 artists mixed in with a couple “lesser known” artists. Then later on, they will make the move to better music (hopefully).
Yeah, from what I’ve seen I think scratch looks a little better because it seems to be more “hip hop” oriented, whereas Dj hero seems to be more “Club music/pop” style DJ (which I’m not a huge fan of). On the other hand, DJ hero looks like it might have better/more innovative game play mechanics. So I’ll just have to wait and see.
Actually I thought I the opposite. the shitty Gwen Stephani song improved thanks to Rick james.
I actually wanted less hip hop and more techno in this game. I’m satisfied since they added in a few of my fave songs to the mixes. of course it’s based around more popular shit. it’s meant to SELL. I’m sold and I’m getting it for free.
rarely will I praise a game I tested but I’m saying DJ hero is actually fun and is the best game Activision has going for it since X-Men Origins Wolverine and the best until Modern Warefare 2.
Also IMO Scratch looks more like a Beatmania clone. DJ Hero is totally different.
If they have different genres of music like house, techno, D&B, damn this shit would be awesome.
All of those colors and the club environment in game makes the game look tight. Plus it has Jazz in the game. Fuck Uncle Phil for throwing you out of his house
