Guess it’s time to test this out.
You can still play the game though right? At least it’s not like EA/Bioware where getting banned from their forums also meant you couldn’t play Dragon Age 2. Then again banning people from playing DA2 is more a favour anyway.
Got the game on the weekend, 30+ hours spent on my monk. Currently lvl 56 act 2. It’s been a total breeze till now, but now the blue name spawns that comes in 3s (Elites?) gets me from time to time, I’d have to resort to running around for my skills to finish CD just to kill some of them.
That’s awesome, is that just abusing crit chance + crits reducing cooldown rune to keep slow time up? Might need to try that, I’ve been neglecting crit since Ray of Frost/Disintegrate are bugged and can’t crit (though the chaos vortex rune can crit, wtf)
Edit: here’s the build used, http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wizard#bRYgSO!gfW!cbYZYY
This game is seriously starting to get dumb. On higher difficulties, you have so few options as far as builds go if you want to survive. Every elite mob is just some random bullshit generator. Items are so shitty that you pretty much have to buy from the AH because nothing drops worth a shit at your actual level. Ugh…where’s torchlight 2 at…
He’s keeping Frost Nova and Slow Time up while spamming moves that gives the most numbers/chance to crit. Might not work with normal gear right out of the gate though. His build is in the Youtube description.
One thing that was really nice about Torchlight 2, and now that I think about it, Dungeon Siege 3, was that they keep a nice steady flow of loot to upgrade you throughout the entire game. Granted, Diablo is known for it’s random gear, but I’ve never beaten my head against a wall so hard to build MF and kills bosses/mobs to get a shitload of blues.
Yeah, definitely takes some good gear, but I like trying out different builds. was rocking the (near) infinite mana build for awhile but started getting bored with it. Something to try, and I like how I can test things out without needing to reroll from scratch.
Also, this made me laugh
The skill works the same way EXCEPT Force Armor cannot absorb more than your Max HP. For Example:
Your character has 10k max Health. With Force Armor equipped you will take 3.5k damage from each hit (which is 35% of 10,000)
A Monster hits you for 10k damage. 10,000-3,500 = 6,500 damage absorbed. This is less than your max health, so Force Armor works normally. You take 3,500 damage.
A Monster hits you for 13.5k damage. 13,500-3,500 = 10,000 damage absorbed. This is equal to your max health, so Force Armor works as normally. You take 3,500 damage.
A Monster hits you for 15k damage. 15,000-3,500 = (10,000 damage absorbed)+(1,500 extra damage). Since Force Armor can only absorb an amount up to your max Health, you take the extra damage plus the original 3.5k damage that Force Armor allocated to you. You take 5,000 damage.
A Monster hits you for 20k damage. 20,000-3,500 = (10,000 damage absorbed)+(6,500 extra damage). Again, Force Armor can only absorb an amount up to your max Health. You take 10,000 damage, and you die.
The math works out so that you will not die with Force Armor in just one hit as long as the damage is not greater than or equal to two-times your max Health.
I don’t see how people can avoid being hit more than once. Everything is 10x faster than you and your hitbox is enormous
Yeah. It’s just a forum ban. I don’t care about that.
Thank you for the breakdown. Their one line explanation really didn’t do it for me and confused the shit out of me. Too bad everything in Inferno hits you for like 20k+ easy…lol. Time to actually care about Vit gear again.
By the way, the Azmodan glitch on Hell power leveled a couple friends from mid 30’s to 60 in the course of 5 hours, and netted them around 700,000 gold from all the quest turn ins. Derp.
Edit - Le details.

[]Health Link (Level 51) - This special trail is for champion monsters only and it activates only if more than one champion is present. Health Link reduces the amount of damage taken by the champion with that trait by linking his HP to that of all other Health Link champions in the area.
[]Horde (Level 31) - This special trail is for Rare monsters only. Horde increases the squad of minions that spawn with a rare monster, crowding the battlefield. This is a hidden trait, you will not see it listed on the monster
[]**Illusionist **(Level 26) - The illusionist trait imbues a creature with the ability to create dangerous clones of itself. The trait grants no new resistances, and the damage deal by an Illusionist is not modified in any way. Illusionist is available to minions, as well as Rare and Champion monsters. Each clone has the same hp as its host. Clones can not create clones. Each monster has a chance to use polymorph to create two clones of itself when damaged.
[]Invulnerable Minions (Level 51) - Only rare monsters about level 51 can spawn in with this trait. These rares arrive with a squad of indestructible puppet minions and an expanded heath pool. Its health is increased by 50%. You can not kill the minions until the main rare is dead.
[]**Jailer **(Level 51) -The jailer trait gives monsters the ability to immobilize the Hero in a conjured prison. The effect is brief, but long enough to make you an easy target. Each attack by the Jailer has a 25% chance to cast this on you. Dashing strike lets you move, but does not free you. Spirit walk will however set you free.
[]Knockback (Level 0) - Each melee hit has a chance to knock back the hero.
[]Missile Dampening (Level 8) - Only rare monsters can spawn with this trait. Creatures imbued with the trait generate a reddish sphere around themselves. Any projectile entering this sphere moves considerably slower. (Object will be 50% slower while inside) The projectile will speed up once leaving.
[]Molten (Level 8) - Enemies with the Molten trait are granted Fire resistance and add Fire damage to their normal attacks. They also exhibit a pair of Fire-based special attacks. As they move, Molten creatures leave a trail of painful lava pools. When they die, they explode in a fiery bast.
[]**Mortar **(Level 22) - The Mortar monster launches a quick volley of firebombs at the hero every 4-5 seconds. The monster will keep tossing bombs when he dies. Minions can also spawn with this
[]Nightmarish (Level 0) - Any rare monster and its minions of all levels can spawn with this. This imbues a monster’s attacks with an element of Fear. Any attack by a Nightmarish foe has the chance to send your character fleeing in terror.
[]**Plagued **(Level 14) - All monsters at level 14 and above can be spawned with the Plagued trait. All damage dealt by a Plagued monster is Poison-based. The trait also grants Poison resistance to the monster (including minions) and triggers three special Poison-based attacks.
[]**Shielding **(Level 22) - Gives the monster a brief period of invulnerability to all forms of damage.
[]**Teleporter **(Level 0) - The teleporter trait allows monster to zap aroudn the field of battle, phasing away when attacked only to jump back next to you moments later for a counterattack. The trait has no effect on damage or resistances.
[]Thorns - All Champion and Rare monsters (but not minions) above level 26 can have the Thorns trait. When you strike a Thorns-imbued foe with a melee attack, you suffer automatic damage in return.
[]Vampiric - The vampiric trait allows monster to literally feast on the damage they inflict to you by turning it into health for themselves.
[]Vortex - This trait allows monsters to draw their foes into close quarters, so Vortex is particularly dangerous if your character relies on ranged attacks. The ability itself doesn’t inflict damage, however.
[*]Waller - Waller allows champions monsters imbued with the trait to erect impenetrable barriers on the battlefield for brief durations of time.

There are far more bears and flowers than there are ponies. I could probably count how many ponies spawn there on both hands.
It’s not pony world, it’s this-is-what-you-get-for-saying-our-game-looked-bright-and-cartoony-early-on world.

…lol.
Like, he caught up to me, and like, stunned me, and I was like, dead.
Lol at the first death. That’s what that guy gets for using Team Speak. Who the fuck uses that shitty ass program anymore?
Anyone noticed a good randomed rare seems to be better than a legendary at 60? Been confused on the point of legendaries. Some set items are boss though.
No clue, but some people swear by that program.
The music makes the video so much more amusing…lol
All day. Mostly in terms of weapons.
Yea I eventually had to switch away from that spec, i’m using pretty much something similar to what you just posted except I wanted to experiment with Dodge Mantra and other passive dodge skills. With Lyndon I have like a 52% chance to dodge everything. And that’s base not including buffs from skills (dashing strike and FoT). This helps mitigate a lot of physical damage but once I get desecrated/lightning/plague/etc I’m done for.
Also, I found out that Temptest Rush removes anything that immobilizes you.
Don’t do the powerlevel thing. Blizzard isn’t Sirlin: they don’t subscribe to the “if it’s in the game it’s fair game” mentality. Blizz will bump your level down and possibly ban you.
It’s stupid that they will. But they will.
They don’t give a fuck about your levels. What might get you screwed is item cheezing.
