Just wait till you get Relentless and Revenge. I don’t even use potions anymore. Except for those stupid random unique mobs. Some of them are just plain unkillable.
Sorc: Throw Meteors and Frozen Orbs, teleport away if they get close
Necro: Throw Bone Spears and Bone Spirits, teleport away if they get close cause you probably have teleport too
Zon: Throw Lightning Fury and everyone dies
Pally: 75% block rate, CtA, max resists
Barb: Same thing but manlier
Sin: Put down traps and run away
Druid: Honestly I have no idea why you fuckers aren’t getting instagibbed
The only real difference is Pallies have to actually get gear now so they can be tanky and not just use Holy Shield and call it a day, and anyone who relied on Teleport before as an escape option isn’t going to escape very far.
The rune that lets you spam 4 teles in a row is mad handy, yo.

Just to clarify, in case my posts conveyed otherwise: I wasn’t intending to be unnecessarily harsh or anything. I do understand it’s a matter of taste. I just happen to be very opinionated about that specific topic.
What is your opinion on shittily augged mob rares, and bosses beong crap for MF?

Admittedly sour. I realize that no stat is technically wasted, as I still get something out of Strength as a Wizard, but I hate seeing multiple stat boosts to Strength/Dex/Int. I think gear shouldn’t roll that way.
Also kinda like boss encounters and a little (just a little) bummed to hear they’re not the toughest encounters in the game by design, but that one’s minor for me.
Also wondering why there are still gray items in the game instead of just small gold drops.
Because running back through fully cleared areas is fun and immersive, right? At the end of the day this is a game and not a job, and if I can get right back into the action faster, it’s a good feature. The notion that you could even possibly “Win” or “Lose” at something like diablo 3 is laughable, how would you even define something like that and not have it be arbitrary?
Death in D2 got to a point that if you died, you probably fucked up on your MF runs on Meph/Baal, which mean it was probably just faster to remake the game and reclaim your body in town. MAN THAT WAS SO MUCH WORK AND SO PUNISHING.
Also:
>say you can just kamikaze into champions without any fear of death
>hasn’t played inferno
Wtf?
^ doesn’t understand what kamikaze means
And my point isn’t that the death mechanic should be exactly as it is in D2, but that it should be more punishing than it is.
Also, referencing end game D2 death circumstances doesn’t fit into the problem at hand. The deaths in D2 were never really about getting your body back, that wasn’t really difficult. Losing XP, gold, and durability was a big deal. Then, being naked was even more threatening.
@Willy, nobody said anything about immersion. I’m not trying to be immersed in the world, the story killed that for me a long time ago.
Don’t know if this has been posted, but

I am perfectly aware of what kamikaze means, and you certainly can’t do it in Inferno. You don’t want to die in Inferno vs champion mobs. Ever. Especially if you’re by yourself.
Point taken. I’m usually not one to argue from tradition, but I do believe at least some incentive for not dying should be incurred. Maybe a durability loss and a little gold loss (no exp loss). A rap on the back of the hand instead of a paddlin’. Enough so that you get back in the action quickly, but so that you tell yourself, “I can’t keep doing this.” I’m sure a balance can be struck.
Then again, I haven’t played Hell nor Inferno yet, so I haven’t experienced what it’s like to die in those conditions. I’m not going to get worked up over the new death system as I think that’s kind of silly, and I’m still having fun with the game. I just think it could’ve been handled a little better.
AH still feels like cheating, though. Maybe I’m just a scrub, even if I’ll still use it.
Why? don’t wanna respawn 10 feet back and try again?
If you wipe in Inferno the boss will have likely rehealed to full health by the time you get back.
inferno is terrible balanced. simple scaling increase doesn’t yield a new challenge at all. all it makes is to PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE AND TELL YOU THAT YOUR CLASS AND/OR SPEC IS NOT PLAYABLE in inferno.
it’s funny who belial inferno is doable by like 2 classes with particular builds. no matter the gear. bai bai barbs, monks and wds.
+so many glitches and bugs, it’s not even funny. for a game that was sooo long in development it sure feels like a rushed beta-build. and no patch in sight. seems odd for blizz.
He didn’t say boss.
champion mob = boss
barb: bsbvdnQ-AuoUs
WD: bs40DV2ZQiop
monks do have it rough, out of all the classes it feels like they are the most dependent on being completely well geared
a lot of the things you guys complain about existed in d2 to some degree
lol @WD dodges his killing blow… THREE TIMES.
the caption says it all “more luck”.
all classes need gear, thing is I don’t see a point in stacking vitality when you get one shotted anyway. glass cannon might be the best pve option.
Give it to me so I can unwillingly donate it to the Hackers Anonymous Foundation.
