They added the ubers, and I believe some rune words. Nothing fancy.
Naw…no HC for me, I don’t like having to centralize my style of play to prevent death constantly. I’ll stick to standard play thank you.

For those of you new to the Diablo series, here is most of the lore up until now, and all of the major points in the previous two games.

I’m afraid that they’ll put the drop rates so low that the only way to get decent items not the best decent, is by buying from other players AKA Chinese children
I noticed in the open beta, that the first time you kill the boss like the skeleton king, you get guaranteed yellows, then after getting a yellow drop from him felt like pretty rare. I beat it with all 5 characters and it happened everytime. So I think we do get guaranteed rares for first kills but after that it’s same old Diablo grind.
it’s like ~3 rares + 0-2 blues on first kill and 1-3 blues on subsequent kills or something.
MF will be important tho (and I hate it) but seeing there will prolly be a big amount of affixes added on items it’s easy to have it “on top” [even tho it actually might take away another affix].
Chance to drop item (ilvl) = (1(100/MF) * iType) * (Mlvlscore * Multiplier)*
Explanation:
MF = magic find %
Itype = type of item, magic, rare, set, legendary drop chance
Mlvlscore = monster level score (the higher Mlvl (monster level) the higher is score starting from 1 and add up slowly.
Multiplier = regular, special, uniques, champions, rares, bosses etc. (1, 2, 3, 4 x multiplier (this formula is unknown))
here are some examples:

You can always stick with crafting if your magic find is ass. Rare’s aren’t even that good, you want the legendaries. Pick up and salvage every magic item that drops. All of my best gear from the beta was crafted.
I don’t think there’s a +craft % that increases your likelihood of crafting a piece of equipment with higher stats so you’ll have the same chance as everyone else at getting something decent. It’s sorta like D3’s version of gambling in a way.
Been practicing shadow boxing for that certain Diablo 1 legacy boss.
I mean I would think they would put him in. At least as a side quest or something.
lmao, i was thinking the same thing. also i got like 2600 FG, hopefully people use d2jsp over the AH so i can blow all this money the bots made me in d2, lol
You’re going to be crafting regardless of whether you have MF or not, lol. Crafting is basically the D3 version of horadric cube reroll recipe.
People with MF are going to find rarer items more often than those without, and thus have more materials to reroll with.
I’m glad the drop rates are staying low. I think it needs to be given the addition of the AH.
I’mma call it: WD will be op.
Just did some spreadsheet theory crafting and he is basically the only class that can maintain resource-intense skills without running out of it.
20 Base Mana Reg, 740 naked mana @60. Firebats (with runed hungry bats = 280% damage [ @0:55 around - yes they auto aim] cost 122 Mana / cast.
http://diablo3x.com/diablo-3-list-affixes-stats/
On end gear there is up to 60 Manareg exclusively on WD Items (Knife, Mojo, Mask), which means you can have up to 200 mana reg / sec through gear alone. if you add +12 mana on hit from weapons or amulets or get Spiritual Attunement (+20% total mana; +1% of total mana as reg / sec) or Blood Ritual (15% of mana cost is paid with life; +1% of total life / sec) you can even with a fast weapon spam it without running ever oom. There is a -12 mana cost / firebats on items as well, but it collides with the mana reg. +250 possible mana is also available (which makes attunement better as well). You can make a even better synergy if you add the passive that has a 3% per hit to spawn a fetish to your side for 60 secs.
In case that they seek out too random (tho it’s intended as boss single dps skill anyway) you can replace them with bonespear-like Dire Bats, which hit in a straight line for 220%.
Who needs AoEs if you can spam that? i’m hype.
WD represent!
I guess I got my wagna back! Truth!
I assume almost all classes will be able to have a fairly sustainable resource pool towards end game. Its Diablo tradition.
Still going to try a Melee Wizard, but if it doesn’t work I’ll just go Regular Wizard.
Gonna make him look boss like Ozai.
I rolled in the beta WD and still will in full release. Yoga Inferno is a great skill!
did some more intense math with mana reg and firebats:
to ppl who are interested.
Now I’m gonna plan which affix I want for each slot (head, dagger, mojo => +60 mana reg, neck => +12mana/hit, boots => +12% speed etc), so you can have up to 7 affixes per item as far as I heard, meaning you get plenty of other stuff on top (magic find etc)
So fucking hype, I’ve been counting down the days for a week now.
Witch Doctor main here too. Used to main Necromancer in D2 and WD called out to me as soon as he was announced. Altough I must admit after playing the beta, Barbarian with a 2 Hander and Frenzy was fucking crazy. But still, WD is too awesome and hes on coke too with all the fidgeting and stuff.
Btw, if you haven’t gotten the limited time exclusive class sigils from the D2 website, or if you missed a class, the contest is back for ALL classess for the next 10 days or so. Just click on “Claim your sigil” on the right, “Create Banner” next, pick your class, click next, etc, enter your b.net email and you will get it when the game launches. You can get all 5 if you do it for each class.
HYPED!
Would anyone here be interested in contributing to a d3 fan site? The goal is to have a fully functional phpbb3 forums with a blog style main page with news/guides/articles etc. Were looking for people to help contribute information and write guides etc…I know some of you srk heads are gonna be geeked out on this game so please let me know and shout me an email at: Zac@diablonerds.com
The site should be functional within a week or so.
Melee Wizard??? Specs you really really really make these references TOO easy for me. Seriously I’m sorry I can’t help it.
Would this PC be able to run Diablo 3 on its highest settings? What about other games like Battlefield 3 at max? Is there anything I should know about this one? I know very little about computers but have been doing some research.
