they get beaten on normal difficulty already… there is a reason you sommon 3 and that there are a crapload of talents that spawn new ones. they are meant to die (there is even a talent to sacrifice them). I just highly doubt they will be able to endure the high damage output of inferno. as I said, I’m not even sure if the gargantuan will be able to be of any use.
the tower looks too slow and short imo. it also has a 25 sec cooldown.

looks pretty decent as kiting tool. might close off narrow passages entirely.
The only time my dogs ever died was on Leoric. There are also talents that buff your summons.
Tower is indeed slow, but could be useful in narrow passages.

none of the runes make dogs help to survive but 50% life leach. seeing they do little damage I simply doubt they’ll outlast inferno mobs. they are designed about dying, there is no lying about that (hence the health globe rune, the exploding skill, they respawn runes/passives). I said they might be goof IF you focus your entire spec on them. that requires that you need to use specific passives and skills, which in my opinion hinders your overall CC, Mana consumption and maybe damage against bosses. you either go all in with them or you leave them out. I just doubt they will work alone on inferno 
keep in mind that’s theorycrafting. we don’t know anything for sure. so most of the discussion is based on assumption and experience with the beta.

I don’t see why there would be any +skill modifiers on items when none of your abilities/runes have levels to them in the first place.
Because Blizzard flatout said there will be.
This indicates that the mechanics are not exactly the simple equation so many dismiss them as being.

Weird. I’m wondering how they will work. I almost feel like it’s not necessarily needed since a majority of the abilities scale with weapon damage (which is what they wanted to do to not make things too complicated like D2 stats/abilities).
this. why make them scale off weapon damage if you going to add + skill shit in anyways? maybe they implying that inferno will be so hard that we will need our skills to scale off insane high weapons and have +skill items ontop of that?
