What does death do right now? Durability loss, right?
When you die you should lose xp, all your gold, durability, unable to port to allies for 5 minutes, can’t respawn in town, respawn naked, and give you rez sickness.
My hype is dying pretty fast right now… I’ve only heard bad things about the game for the last few weeks, other than people giving builds.
There is nothing bad about Diablo 3 except there isn’t any immediately apparent negative side to dying. Buy the game. Don’t be silly.

I enjoyed the WD one alot. It’s very unique in that it really illuminates the culture surrounding the Witch Doctor which I think is good since he’s / she’s the most “alien” of the cast. I also appreciate that the witch doctor in the game is not the witch doctor in the short story but it sure sounds to me like we could see this character at some point in the story.
I would love to see alot of these side characters they introduce pop up in the game. The Demon Hunter’s master, the Wizard’s master, the WD from the novella, OMG the godword writer from the Barbarian story would be epic… Oh and the kid from the Monk story… I really hope Blizzard didn’t introduce a bunch of characters that we’re just supposed to forget, even if their roles are exceedingly small in game, I hope those are cameos we get to see in some way, if even indirectly.

It seems to imply that the sorc from D2 was the same sorc in the story. She seems to have been assassinated while trying to make the big blizzard spell to help the town. I’m guessing someone sent an assassin after her, since they are mage hunters.
In Inferno difficulty, I doubt anyone will have the time to stop for five seconds to revive a fallen party member.
Not to spoil your spoiler but yes I agree but that’s awesome! Blizzard saying “I don’t care who you are or what you did, you can shut up and die!” Gives D3 a whole new narrative tension that I was worried might not be there.
In Inferno difficulty my wanna be WoW Protection Priest Monk is going to be the most popular guy in the party 
I’m still sad that you can’t use a merc while in a party… My act 2 def merc was the best pokemon ever!

I would hope that the game was designed to fit any team comp no matter the difficulty. Gonna be a bitch at end game if you had to sit around waiting for a monk for example.

Chart for the blacksmith. Seems like there would be a huge gold sink in this game, since there also 2 other crafters. The blacksmith in the beta pretty much had the best stuff since you have to keep re-crafting till you finally had the right stuff. I got some yellows that didn’t seem as useful as the blacksmith stuff in OB, so it’ll be interesting how it plays when the game launches. It will be interesting how they will balance the power of unique vs. random crafted gear.
I imagine perfectly crafted items will fetch a nice penny on the AH.
Speaking of the AH. I just found out that Hardcore characters can’t use the real money auction house. That is amazingly awesome.

Blood Raven was the Rogue, Warrior ends up being The Dark Wanderer, and I want to say the Mage/Wizard/Whatever he was called ended up being Summoner? I’ll have to look it up.
