i was trying to minimize some of the forums with those gear shaped icons on the main index page and now i’ve hidden a bunch of forums and i have no idea how to get them back. how do you undo that “hide” command?
I am not getting notifications for anything, the forums are not taking me to the newest post in the forums, I can’t change my sig, and THATS me only going to 2 of the actual forums. I haven’t even ventured into the entirety of the new site yet and I probably won’t until this stuff gets fixed.
At least you still have your sig. Last time I posted mine had disappeared entirely. You also have to manually bookmark a thread. It’s that tiny as fuck star in the thread title off to the far right. Then you get one notification every time somebody posts there.
EDIT: Guess my sig works now but I still can’t change it. Anyone else notice in the account settings that you can have a maximum of 5 people ignored on this site? Really? Before the switch I had about 10 ignored. If I didn’t many threads would be unbearable to read through at times.
EDIT NUMBAH TWO: GLITCH HAS BEEN SPOTTED!!. If you edit your post, your sig disappears afterwards for that post. obligatory applause

And is there a way to expand the selection of post editing tools? Having strike-through but no text size, colors, etc. seems kind of weird.
Look to the right of your post. You should see a black gear. Click it and go to delete.
Nah, that’s easy to fix (and in fact I’ve already fixed that Tech Talk Index Thread).
All you have to do is delete everything before the numbers in a link and put “http://forums.shoryuken.com/discussion/” in front of it.

Preview works differently in Vanilla Forums. When you hit preview, it shows you in the text window how it’ll look, sort of like a live editor. If you’re happy with it, hit “Post comment.” If you want to make more edits, click “edit.”
Agreed, but that’s just a thing with Vanilla Forums. They’re very vanilla. You have to add features and turn on settings as you go. They’re adding lots of features as we go. I’d expect more to come soon. I’ve submitted a small list of requests and plugins to the admins, and I’m already seeing them get turned on as the day goes on. Just give it time. 
I don’t like that you see when a post was edited. I always thought that was one of SRK.com’s redeeming features. Even worse, it’s bright red on white background, sticking out like a sore thorn in the thumb.

Out of curiosity, does anyone happen to know how the “Best of” function up top works? How is that chosen? I’m only asking because one of my posts made it up there and it only has about 2 likes and an agree or two. I know they wouldn’t leave it to the number of likes it gets though, because if they did, the “Best of” would become a leaderboard for what posts can get the most likes in MvC3 OTT.
Also how is that little level star over there <== going to work?
