I’m using a browser version and its better than the tapatalk. That is for sure.

Is there any automatic way to fix all the broken old links? We have a really long knowledgebase/info thread over at teach talk with good number of links to specific threads/posts that just got broken thanks to the upgrade. Anything that can be done to help fix this so Tech Talk can get back in to the business of helping people out with their tech stuff would be appreciated.
So I went to edit my stickied thread on the Spencer subforum to deal with the lack of button smilies and try to make things more readable in the interim, but I ran into an interesting error: The body of the post is too long, because during the move the maximum post size was reduced. Please move it back up to what it was so that I can continue to update my thread, okay? That’d be great.

What ever Web Developer did this to the forum (I’m lurking around quite a while, never thought I need to sign up) must be released from his duties xD /joke You had a whole weekend and did… this…
I’m not talking about the design. Designs change and people need some time to get used to it (Altough I liked the look of the sticky threads in the old style more). But that some things simply are not there anymore is a disgrace imo. Don’t you have test forum where you test your changes before taking a whole weekend to implement the new stuff? Don’t you checked if all icons work (Looking at the combo threads here)? Didn’t you checked tags (Looking at videos here)?
A lot of complains are true too. You should have two designs. One that is “your” design and one that is darker. Simply because most gamer are used to darker backgrounds (It doesn’t hurt in the eyes when reading a lot). You could simply invert the colors and tweak it form there.
There seem to be a lot of bad HMTL here too. Sizes don’t fit (Usernames get cut off, the difference between each post is so thin, it’s kinda hard to read). It looks all so… unprofessional and that for a weekend of time D: Next time you should really test stuff, take users and allow them to go into the test forum because Web Developers oversee things a lot.

Until there’s an all clear, the work might be wasted or counter-productive.

The layout is broken.
I like tiny text but this is a combination of huge and tiny. I agree with the UI complains above.

Because, it’s been one day now, and it looks exactly the same. Only thing I noticed is that the EDIT is now without time limit. But changing that option hardly takes 24 hours.
So any statement?
Also, I want an option to get a notification whenever someone agree/likes my post.
The forum would look hella less cluttered if it had margins on the side, similar to the front page.
I don’t see where the “upgrade” or “enhancement” has been made to my browsing? The white BG is ugly as hell, everything is smaller and super sloppy looking, the main forum tree layout is horrendous and embarrassing looking, there are now less features and more adds… can’t even see my full name? lol.
Shit feels like a total cash in … oh wait, it is.
I guess we’ll just wait and see if they improve it, but the SRK staff’s interaction with forum users has never impressed me to begin with.
I have my list of complaints…but the white/black background is not one of them. Maybe there’s some severe bias of the dark template (I opted for the default white one prior anyway), but it looks fine. Design issues I would note are how the edges are handled and some of the fonts are far too fatty. A little more contrast on the post break could be done. Style wise it looks pretty cool, it just need some touch ups with how info is displayed.
My biggest complaint is how the old notation images are now broke.
I’m okay with things, it ain’t bad.
But is there a way to implement the alert system from the old board (I guess it was XenoForo code)? It was nice to be alerted when threads you posted in have got new posts.

Also, it’s a shame that mobile browsing is now the easiest (on my eyes) way to view this site. I’m sure it’ll be taken care of soon though XD

Yeah it’s broken.
If I choose to receive notifications from my discussions, I get a notification per new post in that thread, which can be highly obnoxious. I think it is better to have to old system, where you got one notification if someone posted in that thread, and a notice that “there may be more posts after this” .
I really think this would be a better way to do it, thanks for reading
