So this game is available on the PS3 only as an import?
The PS3 has no regional block to keep me from playing it, right?
Dang, is there anyway to save story mode? Everytime I leave it autosaves, then when I start playing story mode again it starts form the very beginning
Do wha? I mean, you can’t leave in the middle of a a story, at like fight 5, and then comeback and pick up at fight 5. But when you beat Deathbringer, it should roll credits and unlock an achievement and something in the art gallery, and you’ll have something like 47% (or whatever) complete when you go back to story mode and hover over the character you beat it with. When you turn the console of and on, all that progress should be saved correctly if you have the saving set to autosave (or manually save it).
But everytime you start story mode and pick a character, you always start at the beginning of that character’s story.
Be sure you have your save settings correct in the options. I remember when I first bought the game, i did lose all my story mode progress because (I think) the game doesn’t set to autosave by default.
Oh I see. So you have to beat it all in one go. Yeah, I thought you could just leave in the middle and pick up where you left off

That’s correct MC. You can either get the JP or the PAL version. That is the only way you can rock BF on PSTriple. Hope this helps.

I just assumed it would be the same for US.
Importing the euro version should work just fine for the PS3 because PS3 games are not region locked. But I’ve not even tried the online yet so I wonder just how many players there would even be for this as I’d guess it’s quite a niche title.
Considering it’s available only on 360 in the USA, that’s probably where the players are, if there are any?

Not yet, but you guys were supposed to get it a while back. I swear I heard it got released but I guess it got delayed. So for right now JP PS3 Version only till Europe gets it I guess.
EDIT: According to some research i hit the EU version came out on 3/6/09. So hopefully someone can find something on this.

There’s definitely some EU release date confusion concerning Battle Fantasia. I can say for certain though that it’s definitely out right now for the PS3 in the UK, and last month Euorgamer website ran an article to highlight this. I think before that (from the date you quote) it was out on Xbox 360 only.
I know, but the console release had NO hype whatsoever. At that point, it was all HDR and SFIV hype. It wasn’t until Keits posted that announcement when it came out that I heard of it.
I just picked up a copy of BF today…
After playing for about 45 mins (on my 360 pad… still waiting for my FS SE to arrive) I am really enjoying this game. The characters are so anti fighting game, and I love how it actually tells you the numerical damage taken.
Can wait to get more in depth with this.

Pretty good game. Solid game. Only bad thing is its impossible to find a match online. Literally impossible.
