Could someone with wiring experience kindly tell me if I’m on the right track now? I basically used quick disconnects from Radio Shack and crimped together wires across the ground side of the buttons (Thanks Toodles) and hooked them to the wireless Axis adapter but I can’t get it to synch with the PS3.
I haven’t wired the home button yet though so perhaps that’s the missing step?

To sync you have to have the PS button. If this is the first time connecting you have you connect a usb cable from the sixaxis to the ps3 and press the PS button and your are sync’d. If its not the first time and you have paired the devices before you simply hold down the PS button for a couple seconds and it should connect.
I’m interested in doing an Agetec mod with the AXISdapter, but I have one burning question… how the hell would I recharge the stick?
by pluggin in the sixaxis board to a usb port?
Quick question, I have everything working fine on my TE stick now with games like Tekken 6 and SFIV but it seems like certain games like Blazblue and MvC2 are kind of borked. Certain button presses register as two inputs and weird things like that. Any ideas?
hello,
anyone here successfully modded a se or te stick with shinjn adapter would like to sell me some stock parts of the madcatz stick? plz leave me an offer on pm if interessted
ok guys i’m new into this but i wanna mod my sf4 TE fight stick to be wireless so what is the best advice ??
I just want to thank everyone especially ShinJN, Toodles and the-red-comet. I just recently bought 2 AXISdapters and just finished a SFIV SE stick and it works great. Really nice to have a good stick with wireless and BC for PS2 games on a 60GB PS3.
I never post here as I am a casual player when it comes to Fighters and Shmups. Most of my time is just browsing thru the tech forums when it comes to custom sticks and mods. Next will be my TE stick.
Thx SRK.
Does anyone have a tutorial on this axisadapter on a te stick?
i second this Question
so with newer dualshock3 with 20pin press-on connector, will axisdapter still work?
Yes, but it will require soldering wires from the sixaxis board to the axisadapter.
ok so i have controller with 3rd piece in it. and its 20pin press on. i thought one with third piece is the one with actual connector slot.
is there regit way to tell if dualshock3 got connector slot?
all new controller with no 3rd piece has press on connector right?
so. if you are installing this on to say 360 TE, you have to get the usb port exposed somewhere for charging and pairing, correct?
also, since guide button will be shared with ps3 and 360 while ps3 is powered by battery, what happens if wired 360 is in use?
will there be a need for a physical switch to select guide button mode between ps3 and 360?
because i would think if 360 usb is hooked up and press the guide button, it would turn on the ps3 stick even if ps3 stick was turned off. how do ppl deal with this? am i missing something?
The axisdaptor doesn’t make it possible to use the sixaxis in a dual mod. Just a stand alone wireless ps3 stick.
so I had a ds3 with the extra piece on the shoulder, plus the square button was really spongey and only worked once in a while so I decided to take it apart. Once I did that I saw it had the press on connector so I cleaned around the square button and tried to put it back together. Yeah that ain’t happening. So how hard is it trying to solder an axisdapter on to the press on connector? Or would I be better off trying to do something else with this PCB?
Well, you’re going to need the two resistors somewhere, so unless you’re an old hand at electronics work, getting an AXISdapter will be the easiest/cleanest way to do it. But, even with an AXISdapter, there’s a crap ton of fine soldering involved. What you’d have to do is use a multimeter on the black carbon spots the ribbon cable originally pressed against, and locate the exposed test point (small copper or silver circle on the other side of the board) that goes to that black spot. Then you’ll have to solder a wire from that test point to the AXISdapter in the spot the ribbon cable would have connected to.
Yeah, it’s a bitch. And it’ll only take 10 or so minutes of doing this until you say ‘fuck it’ and hunt down a $20 or so SIXAXIS to use instead.
Well you convinced me, I work right next to a gamestop I’ll stop by there tomorrow see if they have any Sixaxis. What should I do about my DS3?
I’ve never been able to put one back together, so you could possibly see if anyone is willing to buy it cheap in the trading outlet, craiglist, or stash it in a parts bin, but otherwise I don’t know what kind of use you’ll get out of it. If you decide to toss it, keep the battery just in case.
