Official AXISdapter Thread: SIXAXIS/DS3 Hacking Made Easy (ONLY PACK A avail)

Great service, thanks! Picked up the boards from you at Starbucks tonight!

When I built my stick, I drilled 10 button holes (start, select, 8 action buttons). I donā€™t want to cut another hole for the PS button, so I thought about bringing back the ā€œSELECT+UP = PSā€ method you guys may know from PSX adapters when used on the PS3. Basically: to do a PS-Home-buttonpress, press SELECT and hold UP on your pad/stick simultanously.

Is it possible to accomplish that functionality with this wiring?

I would like to update everyone that I have not been ignoring everyone. Whatever time I have at the end of the work day I solder, clean, and pack the boards as I finish then. Those that have small orders and have paid so far will have theirs dropped off at the post office tomorrow. You should get an e-mail with the delivery confirmation number.

I will be working hard this weekend to pack and ready the remaining boards.

hey shin, can you add me on the pre-order list

thanks

keep up the good work man! Looking forward to the boards

Hey, can anyone PM me his email so I can get an order?

Just finished my second custom stick, itā€™s a wireless T5 for the PS3. I really didnā€™t want to mess with the artwork right now. I used the last remaining parts that i have which where a Sanwa JLF and some Seimitsu buttons, i also mounted the home button in the back. Adapter works flawlessly and it was a breeze to mount and wire, i had most trouble modding the case. THANKS ShinJN!!!

Nice, nice mini usb connector in the back.

Thats what Iā€™m planning to do with mine too. A mini usb connector, it makes it look clean! Nice stick btw.

can we see a picture of how you mounted that mini usb jack?

sure, iā€™ll take a pic tomorrow

Iā€™m assuming you use 22awg wires and use fully insulated quick disconnects to connect buttons/joystick to the axisdapter?
One question that I have is about the common. When you start linking the buttons together do you use a larger quick disconnect to fit two wires in there?

Also, can you add me to the preorder list?

Cool, and can you tell us where you get the cables/mount from as well.

Thanks

Yea Iā€™m trying to find out too. Iā€™m thinking radio shack will cover it

ok here is the parts list havent taken any pics but i will later on today.

Quick disconnects are .110 and i got them from Advance Auto Parts, they are kid of expensive but i couldnt find then anywhere else.

Wire is 22 gauge stranded that I got from Radioshack

As far as the USB cable running in the case i frankensteined one out of a couple of adapters from monoprice.com here are the adapters and cable i used
