Hmmmmmmm. I’ve determined that I’m probably going to go with Wesker (Samurai Edge)/ Dormammu (Dark Hole)/ Vergil (Rapid Slash)
Or I may go Wesker/Dormammu/Nova, seeing as how I like Nova as well.
Thoughts/input?

If you like Nova, go for it, he’s pretty awesome on x-factor lvl 3 with his infinites. But if you decide to go with the first team, I think Vergil on point and Wesker as anchor is the way to go.
Thanks, Joe. I’ll give that a shot. Wesker’s OTG assist would be pretty useless with him on point.
Oh yeah I will try out Felicia soon. Sounds good, thanks.
Yeah I think you are right. She works quite well in that team, I notice that every time when I use her instead of other characters for the middle slot. =)
Good idea with the Round Harvest. The only big question remaining is the assist of Trish. I like Hopscotch so far, but I need to try out the others too.
Thank you, I think I found my main team. =)
Storm / Trish / Akuma.
Hey Guys. This will be my first proper fighting game venture but i have been wanting to get into them for years now. So please gve me what ever feedback you have got and it would be greatly appreciated.
I would really like to run a team that includes Hawkeye Dormammu and Vergil. I however have no idea about which order i would play them in and what assists i should use. Also how complex are these characters b&b combos as i currently struggle to land single punches :L
I’ve been doing a little more training with characters and think I’ve figured out a team that is (sorta) working for me.
I’m running Hawkeye(Quick Shot)/Zero(???)/Frank West(Shopping Cart)
In the 30+ matches I did last night I had some trouble moving in on projectile/long distance characters. I guess my Hawkeye needs some work as he was getting dealt with pretty quickly. Zero…I don’t know what I’m doing with him I just like him and can get some pretty nice combos for Frank’s Prestige Points with him. Any tips?
Storm, Trish, Akuma screams meter to me. I’m a noob, but I prefer felicia, storm, akuma
Hey I was wondering what is your guys’ opinion on the best way order this team : Wesker (gun), Vergil (rapid slash), Dr. Doom (plasma). This is in no particular order. In my opinion they are all good on point, middle, and anchor, so I’m really flip floppish on how to order it. Also, Wesker on anchor is a no no for me. I love using his resets, air grabs etc. with assists.
I think Vergil , Doom, Wesker. Wesker speaks for himself as an anchor with X factor, and gunshot helps everyone lol. Vergil with doom beam can be a devastating. Now I personally think Doom is one of the few characters that doesnt really get a huge benefit to gunshot since he can relaunch on his own. So you become alittle linear if vergil dies, they can chick block you pretty effectively.
I’m trying a Nemesis/Wesker/Spencer Team, but I’m currently switching between Wesker, Doom, and Magneto. Any ideas for improving my team synergy?
Hey guys can I get your thoughts on my three teams I’ve been thinking of recently? Chris/Trish/Ryu, as keepaway. Chris zoning out with those guns, Trish’s peekaboo assist as an anti air, Ryu as anchor and tatsu to keep out on the ground and to get in if needed. Firebrand/Sentinel/Ryu for a primarily mixup/reset/rushdown game. And last but not least Super Skrull/Storm/Sentinel.
I was wondering what the counterpick team for team trenchcoat would be. Any suggestions? (Just for fun)
My guess would be Nemesis/Zero/Taskmaster.
[LIST]
[]Nemesis: Dat hyper armor.
[]Zero: Nothing counters Samurai Edge better than midgets.
[*]Taskmaster: Counters and solid zoning. XF3 Task. is an absolute beast.
[/LIST]
Zero/Doom/Sentinel. Zero counters Wesker hard and Doom/Sent shuts down teleporters.
Excellent reply and exactly what i needed…
Thank you very much for your time
For a side team that’s slowly finding more and more usage, I reallly wanted to use Nemesis. So I decided to make a team not necessarily built around him, but one that he really hits hard on, with another two viable characters backing him up.
Right now, I’m trying out Nemesis / Wesker / Doctor Strange. Nemesis with the launcher slam assist, Wesker with his gun shot of course, and Strange with his bolts. I’d rather like some input on what I think is an extremely gimmicky but fun usage of Strange’s assist.
Nemesis
Nemesis on my team sets a pace. I love characters that can do that; his tentacle and rocket launcher both give him a limited but modestly effective zoning game, and he can cancel all of his normals into specials, meaning if someone messes up very obviously, he can pick it up. His range is awesome, the surprising speed of his air chain is fun, and because he can reset fairly easily and soak up damage, he makes a great battery.
Assist wise, I give him launcher assist to have an alternative OTG and lockdown in case my team order gets wrecked and Wesker dies unfortunately.
The problem I have with him is of course, higher aerial battles. Tentacle grabs are not too quick, so it’s hard to reaction them, and it seems to be harder to score against ‘skinnier’ characters in the corners.
Wesker
[details=Spoiler]
Wesker is awesomely powerful and effective, but more than anything I just wanted to use the duo together. If Nemesis messes up, Wesker can redeem things with a lv2 x-factor if necessary, and provides a safer DHC in case Nemesis’s hyper drops. Not more to say other than "Wesker good, real good"
His assist is gun shot, to easy reset/otg for Nemesis.
Again, a problem he faces is the high aerial stuff. Fortunately, I can always play patient and nab an airthrow, but since things are just outright tech-able, this is a bit less effective.[/details]
Doctor Strange
[details=Spoiler]
Really, Strange is pretty much an assist character on my team. But his own battle capabilities fit my playstyle; setting a pace with zoning, and going in if necessary. With x-factor 2 or 3, and his hypers, he’s a definitive threat and can easily correct any mistakes I’ve made earlier in the fight. Also, his counter hyper serves as a great threat against the more popular anchors who often sport beams, which works even more so if the person -respects- it.
His assist though, is why I choose him, again. Bolts. I used Doctor Doom for a while, since well…he’s cheap. His beam comes out delayed, but its damaging, big, lasts a while; Doom is scary stuff on point and assist. But Strange’s assist is possibly, in my mind at least, the sickest thing for Wesker, and now Nemesis too.
It’s a beam; that already means if called in correctly, it will prevent drones from overtaking you, it will eat out and clear other projectiles generally, it’s already paving a path. This beam hits higher than normal ones; people will either try to jump it, and get tagged, or duck it, and give Nemesis and Wesker an unnecessarily easy time.
The beam comes again, a second time. This is -not- a true blockstring. This means, while a person is getting locked down by the first wave, you can move in with either of the first two characters, and score a free command grab, if timed right. Or, bait people to try to punish your rushing in, which will have them hit by the second beam, and hey–free combo.
The drawback of the bolts is pretty evident though; it leaves Strange on the screen for -too- long. People can reaction hyper and Wesker/Nemesis both cannot really do much if it’s a beam hyper.[/details]
I’m sure someone has thought of this before, and while the stuff mentioned in strange’s summary works well for me, I can’t say I’ve had overwhelming experience using it, so maybe it’s again, just a gimmick that fades too quickly. I want to ask though; is the synergy truly there like I want to believe, or would I be better off forgoing Strange? And, while I know that the first two characters without a proper assist, have trouble with people super jumping and raining stuff down on them, will it be -too- effective against them later on, to the point where an assist to cover that area is more so suggested than a beam?
Vergil Wesker Doom would be awesome
Hi everyone, iam pretty new to the FGC , I do have some ssf4 experience but other then that iam not that great
I wanna try one keep away team and one more aggressive highdmg team.
My execution isent that great so if possible easy execution and setup characters/teams would be optimal.
Any advice on team and stratigy with that particular team would be most appreciated
dormammu(BH), deadpool(KR), dr. strange(EoA)
this team is what I’ve been having most success with online, though I’m not set on the order.
I like strange anchor because vishanti is hard to dhc out of, and he can mix the hell out of people in xf3.
any suggestions on better assists or advanced tactics i should be using? i pretty much just keep away til i can punish something

I would really like to run a team that includes Hawkeye Dormammu and Vergil. I however have no idea about which order i would play them in and what assists i should use. Also how complex are these characters b&b combos as i currently struggle to land the most easiest of combos, My execution = LOL
If you want to focus more on zoning out the opponent, Hawkeye/Dormammu/Vergil, and if you want to focus on rushing down, Vergil/Dormammu/Hawkeye.
Execution-wise, I would rank Dormammu Low-Mid, Hawkeye Mid-High, and Vergil Mid-High. None of their combos are particularly difficult to perform, but Hawkeye requires a lot of positional awareness to execute properly and Vergil’s best combos can get a bit lengthy and complex with multiple teleports, relaunches, Round Harvests and Hypers.
